Don't forget controller quality and rumble.
Coming from a PS4 owner.
I never thought people really played this game, always regard it as a DX12 benchmark.
Author has the definition of AA wrong. It's not about lower system requirements. It's about high quality graphics and gameplay in a smaller, more focused, or less bloated game (marketing, team size, features, length, etc.) resulting in a lower price.
Hellblade is the perfect example of a AA game.
I would love to see more AA games. I generally don't use half the features in many AAA games.
Not as much more power than you think, CPU would limit it pretty quickly.
Not really, a lot of mainstream gamer's probably don't know who he is. It's more likely that Lawbreakers is trying to compete in the the most competitive market in gaming and being a good game isn't always enough for an online only-competitive non-F2P FPS. A game really needs to stand out
If games like TitanFall 2 and Battleborn can't take a hold, maybe it's just that the market wasn't looking for your type of game. It's definitely not an adu...
Good, people should be subjected to abuse when gaming.
If the racists, sexists, and homophobes want to go around yelling slurs and verbally abusing people, they should make their own game and distribute it on their own platform.
I say permaban them. Maybe it would teach some of them that that type of behaviour isn't acceptable and result in a positive change in themselves.
Brain damage and decreased grey matter are very different things. Otherwise, every adult over 30 would be suffering from some form of "brain damage". But I guess people have stories to sell and clicks to accumulate.
Can't wait for the millions of non-gamers to further condemn gaming as shameful because they're "bad for the brain"...while drinking their 5th vodkasoda, smoking a spiff, marathoning mindless TV shows. All to forget about their mindle...
Optional if you don't play 90% of the top games released each year.
Pay to Play online is the reason I quit console gaming after 15 years and moved to PC gaming this gen. PSN is $75 in Canada now, it went up $25 in only two years after I got my PS4. PSN is going up to $88 in Europe. The price of PSN/Live will keep going up everywhere. I understand why companies do it, it's probably about a billion dollars annually of the easiest revenue they'll ever earn. But as a consumer I vote with my dollars, and my vote is no. I just don't see the value, feel...
Who cares, it's not possible for a console to run everything at 4k 60 FPS. Some games will, some won't.
And it will keep going up and up. That's $88 CAN just to play online. Having to pay for PSN/Live is one of the main reasons I switched to PC gaming this gen. Every time I got a new PSN subscription, I felt like I much rather have spent the money on a new game, not be forced pay to play the games I already have. Felt kinda like a rip off. Which is why I switched from 360 to PS3 last gen.
Since Nov 2014, PSN has gone up $25 in Canada. Over the course of a 5 year gen, PSN...
No, but it could account for a million console sales in the long run.
Best FPS of the gen (imo) is getting a sequel so I'm very happy.
WNO still has my vote for best FPS game of the gen. Very much looking forward to this game.
For online games it gives devs the opportunity to attribute flaws and bugs to a work in progress and is supposed to give players the benefit of a cheaper game. Also allows product testing to craft the game to the way players want it to be not what a few dozen people 50 or so testers think players will want.
Essentially, saves the game from being potentially destroyed by bad launch reviews as it will always have second chance when it fully releases.

Remember when consoles had to launch at the "magic" $249.99 to reach mainstream.
Surprised that digital revenue is 80% of total revenues.
VR prices simply need to come down, with a low price, it only takes a 1 amazing game to sell devices. And that would be like nothing else directly as a result of the medium.
If Valve wanted, they could launch VR into the mainstream and then the stratosphere with a $400 device with higher resolution and Half Life 3.
I can't even imagine how much energy would be generated in the gaming world from such an announcement. It would be immeasurable.
Forcing it with XB1 arguably cost MS the generation. Most people weren't interested in Kinect and being forced to pay for it. The decision was easy, $400 for more hardware power and 99% of the same games. Or $500 for less hardware power and 99% of the same games that generally look a bit worse and a glorified $100 plus voice control device.
A $399.99 PS4 vs a $329.99 XB1 would have made launch, and as it turned out, this generation much more interesting.
I like how Sony uses games for marketing more so than the other way around.
