I like the idea, hope it takes off.
I should try it because I heard it's good. Probably will but never was a big fan of arena shooters and generally not interested in non-story-focused FPS games. Other games are already meeting my competitive FPS needs.
I used to want the Masterchief Collection and Halo 5 (and a remastered Reach) to release on PC so badly. Halo was tied as my favourite gaming franchise. It would have made my year to hear that all the Halo games were coming to PC because I got PS4 in instead of XB1 and couldn't play any longer. I was was starving for Halo as recent as 6 months ago but now that I think about, I couldn't care less anymore about Halo. Amazing what time away from something can do to your affection for it....
I was never really excited by the look of it. Seems like another Zombie games. But who knows, it could have some magical gameplay feel and/or an amazing story. By the look of it, it needs an amazing story to be a great game because nothing about the game really impressed me. Without playing, I can't know though.
In competition, people always gang up against the dominant person if you can't join them. It's a basic survival tactic.
Coming from a PS4 owner, I'm all for any company pushing for cross-play. I'd love for all MP games to share user bases with PC and both consoles. It ensures that not so popular games still have playerbases for longer times. Titanfall 2 largely failed because people thought that the sales weren't high enough to support a healthy long term playerbase, despite being a good game. When you see on 6000 people playing two months after launch it's worrisome. Need about 15000 to be hea...
BC is great but only when it upgrades the graphics and framerates. I love playing old games at higher resolutions, graphical settings and framerates when I upgrade my GPU. It's like a free remaster. But I wouldn't want to play old PS3/360 games at 720p and sub 30FPS with jaggies everywhere.
That's proper thickness.
What MS needs to do to come out on top is go back in time to when they decided to push Kinect instead of exclusives and charge to access netflix and IE and say, "now way, we have the best games right now and are leading this console race. If it ain't broke, don't fix it and obscene nickel and dimming may destroy our fragile consumer good will with RROD an all" .
We've been killing criminals and extremists for years in games, the color of their skin shouldn't matter.
I'm happy to continue to virtually shoot Al-Qaeda, white supremacists, gangs, immoral cults, etc.
MS used to lead Sony in the 360 era (online services, achievements, exclusives, etc.). Since Kinect it looks like they've been playing catch up.
Yes
There's no reason Scorpio couldn't run at 1080 60FPS if xb1 and PS4 can do 1080p 30 FPS.
Maybe MS can release firmware update that increases performance to 60 FPS. Bungie wouldn't violate any deal with Sony if MS itself improved the framerate.
When is number 2 on the charts sluggish?
Still, you can let them play with PC players
In a FPS you'll want clarity in motion over image sharpness.
4k may look great, but 30 FPS is always very blurry 1080p @60 would be less sharp but much clearer.
Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but watching that video made me think about how sad it is that a fighting game has better facial animations than an RPG like Mass Effect.
Seems like it's only chance to have a decent story this time. If Far Cry took it's story more seriously it would be an amazing game. The gunplay and other gameplay elements are already very well executed.
100% certain my friends wouldn't care and just be happy to have a third person to play with. Keep it out of competitive or force controller if playing with console.
It's an easy issue to get around.
I've experienced both, Vive and Kinect.
VR is game changing in terms of immersion. It's an entirely new and viable entertainment medium. It actually tricks your mind into feeling like you are inside a virtual world. Only problem is that it lacks game changing games and the resolution should be higher.
Kinect constantly felt gimmicky and limited.
