B/C is very overrated. I want to play PS4 games not ps3. I imagine the vast majority of ps4 owners are more interested in playing ps4 games, that's why they upgraded.
I still have my ps3 and never use it, except to try the odd free Plus game. Anyways, if b/c is so important to you, why did you trade your ps3 in for pennies on the dollar. Should have just kept it.
Sony should just put the nail in the coffin and set the price at $350 with TLOU.
People buy what their friends have, no need to risk a snowball effect in the US.
Great game and great 360 port. Live owners interested in RPGs should definitely dive into that game.
PS3 outsold 360 every year since it launched. It was only in the US that 360 led in sales. It shouldn't have been that big of a surprise that PS4 led in sales.
And even with the xone price cuts, PS4 lead in worldwide sales, it was just US sales that it didn't lead, during Nov and Dec and even then PS4 kept pace despite being behind.
I think if 2014 should be know for anything of note in gaming, it should be that reviewers are increasingly growing out of touch with what gamers consider a fun game.
Maybe they should implement that old GamePro review modifier, Fun Factor! I remember some games would have average graphics, ok sound, weak story, but 5/5 in funfactor making for a greatly flawed but great game.
Modern day reviewers focus so much on one or two of a games flaws, that they either...
Well that US sales lead is all but gone now that its down to 3 thousand. Interesting to see if all the catch up work MS did in the states disappears in the next few months.
My question is why take such a huge hit on hardware sales to gain market share only to throw it all away with a price hike for possibly the next 10 months. By the time xone drops in price again, PS4 will probably match it.
Xone built some great momentum and just threw on the brakes. H...
This, the amazingly fast and easy party chat, and all the free games makes me appreciate Plus a lot more than Live.
In terms of sales, the majority of street fighter 4 sales were on PS3, so the majority of the community probably doesn't care.
Wii U and 3DS probably have more 60 FPS games than PS4/xone.
It doesn't seem like the author has even played the game, claiming it's a possible game of all time at this point is ridiculous.
A perfect example of hype clouding ones reason.
I hope it doesn't punish you for killing people like that last game.
As long as it's not about collecting 100s of pieces of paper I'm fine with that. It will be refreshing to have a storey driven non-open world game. Mini-sandboxes with a focused story are my favourite games.
As a person that purchased both at launch, you'll probably enjoy Second Son more after playing First Light. You'll have a much greater empathy for Fetch.
Possible issues are that the powers in Second Son may seem underpowered in comparison and you won't experience the feeling of being weak and gradually increasing in power until you're like a God later in the game. First Light pretty much puts you into God mode after an hour.
Unless you already purchased First Light.... Sony should offer some alternative for people that already purchased a monthly plus game. It's really dissuading me from buying more PSN content.
I probably would but I can't support Sony for indefinitely postponing the Plus version. They made a promise and completely failed to deliver, I'm not rewarding them for that.
You kinda of need linear for the story. Not many open world games have good stories, they're mostly just about collecting items. Mini sandboxes are probably best.
I think I'm the only person that likes QTE.
I'm most concerned about story for a game like this, sort of like Heavy Rain. The guns should be fun to shoot however, the gameplay wouldn't need to be perfect, but if it's not fun at all then the game won't be either.
If you feel the need to write an article about not caring about something, you probably care a whole lot about that something.
Why is the article comparing shipped number to sold numbers? PS4 has likely shipped more than 20 million.
Well they were basically giving away xones in November and December. $350 with a $60 and $30 game and a $50 store gift card in many places. They had to pay ubisoft for the games and maybe the retailers for those deals. The system was essentially 289.99 (at most), which may be the largest and fastest price drop in console history.
