If done right, a BF and SW:BF every second year combo could make EA a lot of money.
Mobile gaming, nothing new here.
I guarantee if HL3 was made for Oculus Rift and utilized its unique controller and head tracking, millions of people would buy it.
Games need to be made that utilize the specific features of oculus or the incentive to buy it will be diminished.
If they nail the controller, secure a few great exclusives and if it makes pre-existing games a better experience than a regular screen.
I could imaging a game like Far Cry 4 would be really cool on it, even if it just utilized the head tracking, 3D, and tricked your eyes into only see the game instead of looking at a game on a screen.
It's not going to improve the resolution problem but games that drop down to 20something frames in places will drop down a few frames less, or maintain 30FPS more.
So yeah, an improvement but no major improvement in graphics.
No
No idea why Watchdogs is on there, let alone at number 2.
Metroid is great but Nintendo pretty much completely lacks in the shooter department, incidentally, the most popular genre in gaming.
I know, people would be able to buy xone games on PC in some mode that turns the PC into a console. That's how i understood it.
I very much hope it succeeds. I think it may all come down to some must have games and finding the proper controller.
They should secure HL3 for Oculus.
It's a brilliant idea actually considering that the xbox makes it's money selling games and Live subscriptions not hardware. In fact, MS probably loses a lot of money on each xone console sold given how aggressive their price reductions have been.
All they want are the game royalties, peripherals money (extra controllers), and Live subscriptions so if people are willing to spend money on PC hardware that's meets some minimum power standard to allow an "XONE&...
I have a gf and when I don't it's pretty easy to get laid but what does that have to do with giving yourself some self love?
There's no shame in jacking off, in fact the only weird thing is you insulting someone for it. As long as it not pedo stuff, people should be able to jack it to whatever they want.
The only thing sad is your close minded, judgmental, prude and unnecessarily insulting comment GamingTeacher
So many games get a free pass for not being innovative, look at any annual franchise, they're essentially the exact same game as the year before but with new environments (AC, Far Cry, COD, Sports games). These games still get 8s and 9s every year.
But for some reason if a new IP doesn't redefine the genre, then it's regarded poorly, no more so have I seen this than with The Order 1886. Since when does a game need to revolutionize a genre to be enjoyable.
Batman
GOW
Obviously the author's gaming tastes differ very greatly from my own. RDR may be my game of the generation, it's at least one of the best games made last gen.
I saw a youtube video of a guy using a new type of motion controller, I guess the best comparison would be something akin to a Move. It was pretty neat, it allowed him to throw grenades and shoot backwards. The direction of his hand corresponded with the direction of his/weapon in the virtual space so he could literally run and throw a grenade over his shoulder or run forwards and shoots sideways.
IMO Oculus is the most exciting (and potentially revolutionary) thing to come...
This, MGS and Batman are probably my most anticipated games so far this gen.
The title is very misleading, then the author goes on to spew fictions...the entire article is him talking out of his Azz. I'll remember not to click a Gamezone article ever again.
There's speculation and there's just plain making things up, this site practices the latter.
Revolutionary tech like Oculus require revolutionary ways to interface with it, I hope whatever controller they come up with matches the hardware's innovation.
They get a lot of hate but only because they're so popular. Curious, what has been in your game library? I guess you hate sports games, and Mass Effect, and Dragon Age, and Battlefield, and Far Cry...
