On this I'd have to agree with Jaffe. The press are definitely less relevant. After Destiny and the fact that millions of gamers have logged over 100 hours into it, the press not being objective enough to see that although it didn't fit into their idea of a good game but others could love it made me realize how out of touch the press is with modern gamers. Sure the games not a masterpiece but they're more people that would give destiny an 8-9 than people that would ever buy games ...

Both games are well past the hype apex now and could likely only disappoint. Although, a VR Half Life 3 may be a novel enough experience to be revolutionary.

Do the test in real life and see how many people can tell the difference.
You could do this test with SD,HD, and 4K video and half the people wouldn't be able to see the difference. It's streamed video, and a mediocre quality stream at that. It's hard to tell the difference between even 360/PS3 and PC using these types of videos.
