In gaming media, if a game is hyped it automatically rate highly.
Gamers aren't really brand loyal if you think about, or at least not brand loyal for long.
Think about all the PS2 gamers that went to 360 and trashed PS3, then went back to PS4 and trash xone.
If anything gamers just trash brand they don't have even if they had it before. It's more like they're current policy/hardware spec loyal.

I'd prefer a nice SP experience like Infamous over competitive MP-only any day.
I get bored with competitive MP after an hour, it's not something I can play all day. I love k/d shooters, but only in small bursts. I play a little everyday but it's not relaxing at all.
SP is my major focus with gaming, I'd choose SP-only over competitive MP-only every time. Even if the SP-only was an 8/10 and the the k/d shooter was a 9/10
All company's are "a money bitch", the problem with EA is that they sacrificed the series long term health for a quick short term gain in money. The millions of sony gamers are just going to play something else and convince themselves that they wouldn't want the game anyways.
Every person that purchases a PS3 or PS4 has already convinced themselves that Titanfall on xone/360 isn't that special.

The reviewer right in a way, the thing that generated excitement in COD4 was the really cool SP campaign, looking back now the campaign wasn't special, but at the time people came for the SP and stayed for the MP.
It gave the game a personality and had a lot of memorable moments.
They still haven't fixed the terrible black crush on xbox.

There's a huge difference between Plus and Live.
Once you buy plus you have access to full game downloads, many of which are actually amazing games.
PSN Plus is actually a bargain and saves you money. Live is just a pay wall.
What games are their for the Japanese gamers? They're not big fans of BF4, COD, and AC or sports games.

I'm 100% for effects, physics, AI, lighting, etc. over this obsession with 1080p.
Ps3/360 could 1080p/60 fps but they didn't for reason. I draw the line at sub 720, 30 fps, and screen tearing.
I always think I should get into PC gaming until I hear theres too often hassles around launch.
With so much time spent on work and life obligations, I just want to buy my game and play it, not spend time trouble shooting.
