Where? Which? I see my name up next to that comment and so do 99% of the non-inebriated.

BTW, it's MNicholas, not Mnichols.

And please refrain from personal attacks. It's against the N4G code of behavior and downright uncivilized.

Your video:

More than 50 years and Nascar crashes are still fake and lame. Your video cannot meet Gamesradar's standards for real and unlame crashes.

This is real and unlame:

It looks cartoony.

It's basically Borderlands with a more slightly more conventional art-style and slightly improved texturing.

There's simply so much going on everywhere.

The level of detail is astonishing.

The lighting is gorgeous and natural.

The hit response dynamic animation is stunning as well.

Makes other shooters look cheap and outdated.

I didn't expect such a huge improvement in visuals. This is a jump on the order of Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2.

Amazing work by GG.

Horrible water effects.

Last gen character models.

Baked lighting and shadows.

Even texture quality is unimpressive with visible loading.

Just what's so amazing about this game?

Please explain.

but not mind-blowing.

The biggest challenge for this game is that it's been so over-hyped that it's doomed to disappoint.

Partially at fault are the Xbox fanboys who keep looking for that unreleased game that finally proves their misguided belief that the 360 can match the PS3's horsepower.

They latch on to some future game and keep talking it up on blogs and forums and when it's finally released and obviously fails to accompl...

I noticed a bug in the ocean wave generation. It only appeared once in all the videos but it was very noticable and jarring. When the view rotated quickly the wave animations skipped a few frames.

GG has done really amazing work. I can't say I expected such a significant leap in detail and lighting. It's as if their engine is now so powerful that they are throwing detail, which most regular consumers will never notice, simply to show off to other developers.

I'd be very impressed if Microsoft sells any at $150.

That's a heck or a price for a webcam.

Almost everything in Rage is baked, ie., not dynamic. All games have some things "baked," even a game as dynamic as Killzone 2, but Rage is like a 1999 game with better textures and higher resolution.

The only interesting thing about the game is that instead of using lots of small textures they use one giant texture for the entire level and load it up as needed which means that there need not be any repeating environment textures.

Character detail,...

It wasn't long ago that these same people were submitting trailers for the "definitive" racing game and claiming that it had better visuals than GT5.

They did the same with Alan Wake.

They did the same with Gears 2.

Do they ever learn?

That's what happens when the console is easy to develop for. A homogenous CPU, unified GPU, and shared memory means that anyone and their grand-mother can max out the hardware. It's as simple as it gets.

That's why there have been no significant visual improvements.

Only a "difficult" console such as the PS2 or PS3 takes a very long time to "max out."

Are there any 360 games that even match the detail in Unch...

These comments on Kinect are no different from the fake endorsements you see on late night infomercials for vitamins or time-shares.

These people will say/do whatever it takes to get on camera in front of millions.

Their managers set it up for them and they do what they're told.

So the lack of the Blu-Ray player prevents the 360 slim from attaining perfection?

Is he implying that the PS3 is, therefore, perfection?

In any case, from a technical standpoint there are many other vast differences.

PS3 has superior HDMI spec, lossless 7.1 Audio, blue-tooth, Web-Browser (facebook, twitter, yahoo mail, gmail, cnet, n4g, etc...), free online (vs $50 each year) etc... not to mention that little beast called a Cell proces...

Graphics are a bit outdated but that's to be expected. The real-time slicing and lighting is great.

The shadows are low-res but this will probably be fixed by release. Environment textures are low res textures is low res, however, and that's a bit disappointing.

Also disappointing is the use of last-gen tricks like baked shadows rather than actual normal maps for things like the four small bumps on the mech's "hand." Hopefully t...
