Microsoft Xbone policy has been written for the giant publishers with Microsoft getting a portion of the pie.
I will be physically sick if people still buy it en mass knowing that Microsoft have gone out of their way to screw the consumer and independent developers.
They're simply acting as a pawn for big publishers who are terrified of competition and want to control the industry, they are so incredibly greedy that they feel they should get a cut in seco...

This is fantasy unless AMD are shipping CPU's with throttling as standard now, good luck finding a motherboard that will cope with 220W TDP without throttling under heavy load, you'd need water cooled VRM's.
What he described is the same as PS3 and 360, you don't have to connect but how will you will get your updates etc if you don't? fact is though people without available internet connections will still be able to play the games they have bought.
If the used games market was as bad as the publishers make out the gaming industry wouldn't have evolved to the size it is today, this whole thing about impoverished developers not getting money for used games sales is nothing but a sob story put out by greedy publishers to pull on the heart strings.

Recent reports are negative now that the facts have been established/leaked but for many months following the release of both products Microsoft were doing a lot of media spin to try and give the impression that sales were brisk.
At least on PS4 you can choose to avoid the anti-consumer ****, boycott all games that push it.
