Indies are the future.
Big developers are one trick ponies, the same games eternally rehashed with very little creativity, add to that the price hikes, them withholding content and monetizing it people have had enough.
This is a very good analysis, well done.
I really think that the ESRAM is being blow all out of proportion though, Microsoft could release a newly specced Xbox One tomorrow with 8GB of GDDR5 (no ESRAM necessary) and it would still struggle in 1080P resolution due to the inferior GPU. You'd probably be looking at a few percent improvement.
Yeah!!! lets celebrate the police state, the chances of being killed by a terrorist are miniscule.
9/11 wouldn't have even happened if NORAD didn't have their fingers in their asses.
I find it extremely weird that every single use of the ESRAM gets reported on like it's magical sauce, the ESRAM is simply a cache to compensate for the slow DDR3.
The main problem for Xbox One is it's relatively poor GPU (when compard to PS4).
Microsoft seem to have brainwashed everybody that the ESRAM will make up for all of the Xbox One hardware deficiencies, simply because PS4 doesn't have it (nor does it need it).
I was just trying to point out that you can make anything of MS hiring, I could make an article speculating how it is a sign of MS doing badly and launch being terrible.
How about the author of this article post an article with facts rather than speculation? I'm not the one submitting articles based purely on my own spin.
MS hiring staff doesn't have squat to do with sales, it doesn't prove that Xbox One launch was successful anymore than it proves that they're doing badly. You need the sales figures for that.
People are still ignoring the fact that the main bottleneck in Xbox One is the GPU, even if Xbox One had 8GB of GDDR5 and didn't need the ESRAM it would still struggle graphically compared to PS4.
On the other hand it could signal that they're falling behind deadlines and/or hemorrhaging staff, suggesting that it's down to a successful launch is just fanboy spin without the facts.
Didn't some asian lady who had worked on Halo jump ship to Naughty Dog a month or two ago?

It's because Wii U is overpriced, if this had been released on the original Wii or 3DS it would be selling like hotcakes.
It's not that people don't want Mario, it's just that people won't pay so much for a Wii U regardless of what games are on it.
He is insinuating that Microsoft are creating an artificial feeding frenzy because Xbone is not selling as well.
500GB Hard Drives only actually store 465GB, 100GB just for the OS is still an insane amount though.
3DS is absolutely dominating the Japanese market.
Al Quaeda was only ever a guise to bring about a pervasive big brother surveillance society, people would have never stood for it before 9/11 (the day that NORAD who would have dealt with the threat easily were coincidentally kept busy with wargames).
What's next gen about the Wii U? it's no better technically than 360/PS3 and lacks games by comparison, the only thing next gen about it is price.
It must be great working for the NSA and being able to log into people Xbox's and spy on people over Kinect.
PS4 will have a bigger worldwide market share so I don't think it will be that big of an issue, I would hope that indie developers will just boycott them given the amount contempt MS have shown them so far.
but if you're happy with 720P then why even bother buying PS4/Xbone? 360/PS3/Wii U all have a fantastic array of 720P games, yet people rush out and buy PS4/Xbone with barely any games to play, it's obvious that graphics matter to them.
Long term sales will show popularity, PS4 would likely have smashed all of these records Microsoft are setting if there weren't worldwide shortages.
If that's all people cared about we'd all still be on Atari 2600's, graphics matter.
Their government is probably subsidising Xbox One purchases to enhance the surveillance state.
