Personally...

I'd rather 720p locked 60fps with enhanced visual effects.

then 1080p native, 30fps and nerfed visual effects.

But then again... I do prefer my "twitch shooters"

'Cloud' isn't just network storage. It's a tag line to simplify it's use to the end user.

Im no network engineer but where I work we have 30,000 student +10,000 staff remotely accessing licensed programs, storage, operating systems, unique policies and credentials linked to each and every room within the company. Raid/remote servers mean next to no downtime, only slight disruption. Updates are rolled out when a user isnt accessing their remote desktop.

I agree with you.
It is the future and aligns with what the Xbox one was actually designed for

To elaborate, they've integrated unique programming functionality e.g a NOC and move engines (network on chip), into the design for a reason.

Late gen, once again there will be futuristic features the Xbox does that the PS won't be able to do... unless a full re-design is on the cards.

Obviously this all came as a trade off for local...

I don't think it likely that they'll release a slim model as soon as they think.

It's likely that they'd only wind up flattening the device by removing the PSU. There isn't the space in the device to move into :s

I haven't taken the plunge and frankly... not really that interested in the PS4 at this moment in time.

If I was to get a PS... it would be a 3... because there are more games (preowned) and it's way more affordable. But saying that... I have a 360 so don't need another console.

The trolling nature of brand loyal fans is actually a big turn off and I already have friends I play online with regularly who're genuine people. We've even met up...

Contrary to popular belief, Titanfall was a lot of fun.

Yeh... guns may have been a bit lacking... the Sniper (a personal favourtite) was just too underpowered and the robot spectres ate sooo many bullets before hitting the deck.

It's a game best played with a with a team of capable FPS players.

If you join a lobby on your own you will be undoubtebly slammed.

Luckily the better players stick to Last Titan Standing/Capture...

Just saying bro

I doubt the execs have the time to peruse it themselves.

To generalise, if a corporate business like MS is a network of line managed teams. Just how long does it take for messages to get where they need to be.

You've also gotta consider that some employees will put there stamp on the update requests saying, "its more worthwhile to cover this reported issue because it'll take less time to implement and/or will requ...

This'll be great for the system.

Then again... I want to know more about the support team.

It's great having all of these excellent methods of conveying idea's to the console developers... but who are you actually corresponding with?

I want more information on how many people are involved... how far up the food chain they can go to get our messages heard.

Also... it does make you question how truthful all other game reveals are.

a CG trailer is acceptable because no in-game footage is actually shown.

It reminds me of McDonalds adverts... my burger never looks a thing like the one in the picture!

Contrary to popular belief... its because next-gen consoles aren't as powerful as the average consumer believes.

but also... graphics aren't the be all and end all either.

A forced downgrade is bad advertising.. especially because they were marketing for PS4 right from the start.

They always did really well with the Halo franchise.

Storytelling became much more of an issue when COD 4+ started taking off with it's cinematics.

People clearly wanted to see more baked cinematics.

Trying to tell the storyline as you go along goes a bit Pokemon/final fantasy...
Like theres a guy stood there all-day waiting to pronounce the same standard comment for that particular part of the game.

There's some great content to look forward to this year on all consoles.... be it multi-platform titles, exclusives or indies.

As much as they'd like you think... this generation is far from taking off. quickly.

If the consoles were real hit's we'd see everyone drop their previous consoles in a heartbeat.

Truth is... they don't offer much more beyond what is already offered last gen...

All three consoles h...

Enjoying games makes you a happy customer, not a gamer.

Being a pro-player makes you 'employed' lol

When you turn on your console at the end of the day and play a four hour session of "insert game here", are you a gamer then?

Nope. You are a 'user'

4356d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Agreed.. no such thing as a real gamer.

There's actually no such thing as a casual either.

There are only consumers and their differentiating use of a purchased product.

(If you disagree, then you need to take a good look at the world around you)

An interesting article of simile's.

He's right in many respects... but you apply that same mentality to consumerism on a whole, which I think is wrong.

I have an iphone... have I opened it up to have a look inside... do I even care about the inner workings of the OS?
When you buy a piece of IT or a new Media device, the average joe expects it to do what it says on the tin.

No offence but its more like your response article, i...

I know where you're coming from... but if brand loyalty is important to the consumer, even an 'inferior' product will be a satisfied purchase.

With regards to consoles, they're all great consoles with a lot to offer.

I still feel, last gen consoles are fit for purpose IMO

I always liked xbox controls. When playing fps, the buttons always seemed to be in the right place. The dead zone issue was a bit testing as I would rag through a 360 control in roughly 8-12 months.

Previously with PS3... when using the analogue sticks, my thumbs kept touching when strafing etc.
Was extremely testing.

Although a touchpad means nothing to me (a DS style touch screen would've been better, I was very pleased to see they had incorpora...

Sup dude,

What peripherals?

Im not sure what the deal is with the microphone connector but I cant think of any other peripherals that you wouldn't also need for the playstation?

I mean, I know Kinect is supposed to be more or less a fundamental peripheral for the system. I personally wouldn't want one without it. Its built into the ecosystem afterall!

If you have more then one person using the Playstation and they nee...

Not really sure where this article was going?

Ms point system was a convincing way to get people to deposit funds in a controlled fashion... I presume it helped prevent fraud?

I don't think Xbox live has ever been hacked, MS must have some seriously beefed up network engineers on the job, no doubt they've been a target for a very long time.

A majority of the console decision is down to who you actually play with. My friends, online frien...
