I think the XBL update program lets updates be tested a month in advance. The official update isn't "out" yet but it'll roll out next month.

Nah, people working in Game development learn about the entire process of developing a game. They train to specialise in specific areas of the process. Day in Day out, they will go in and focus on the just the code, just the physics, just texturising. What Im saying is it is role specific.

The downside of not remastering anything besides the optimisation.
It would be perfect if they had remastered the game from the ground up.
Instead, its a previous gen port with minor code alterations. In the grander scheme of things, surely it's not so difficult to undo previous optimisation and run the game through the new SDK.

To be fair the reason it hasn't been implemented is probably because they're both planning to do something special.
With locally stored Music/video files...
They will want to Snap, music, albums, Video files, folders, Repeat, Shuffle, skip, volume controls. Including a decent thought out interface with VLC library of codecs, EQ presets/manual would be amazing too.
Then throw in auto-download officially signed artwork.
