5 million units x 400$ = 2 billion$ in takings
Therefore profit = ?

More people should start thinking for themselves.
Not bowing to those who tell us what to think.
They've scheduled the DX12 release for 2015 fall... which is understandable considering the amount of time it'll take to roll out compatibility checks and solid drivers for the initial release.
I haven't seen confirmation, but its fun to speculate that;
If Halo 5 is scheduled to be released in 2015 fall and DX12 is currently being implemented.. it would indicate that the API is already developed and implemented for the Halo 5 beta this fall.
As wonderful as your opinion is... its best left in the comments section below other articles.
Opinion based 'articles' are just blogs... which to be honest, should stay on your own personal website.
Whether it has 'failed' or not, I still want one
But I have a 360, PC and mac. I don't need to upgrade anytime soon.

Kinect controversy is quiet comical really.
Of course they were going to push the device this generation. They introduced it last gen... if they hadn't included it, the consumer would've called them money grubbers for not developing a device they had talked up so much in the past (especially considering customers actually bought them).
Arguably Sony did the same thing... they introduced PS move which was a spin off of the wii remote, only worse and ad...
I like what 4show had to say.
The way I feel about trials are that I'd prefer to play an alpha/beta then a hashed demo. When I complete a demo, I feel like "that was nice... Insert owned game into console". They only inspire me to see what the fuss is about.
Best demo I ever played was beautiful katamari, never bought the game but played the demo as a pass around with friends for a laugh. Didn't need the full game at that point.
Wouldn't trials on any game devalue the content?
Demo's often don't spur me to buy games.
I usually make a purchase on what I've read up on... for example, destiny has had a lot of publicity and there's beta footage everywhere. I think i'll like it. Purchase approved.

Nah, 2 - 1 In early adopters
Likely because MS fumbled the entrance of their device and Sony came in 100$ cheaper whilst dropping dirty tactics on it's nearest competitor. (fair play of course, they were an easy target)
Figures show that only 5-10% of people have actually taken the plunge into the next-gen console pool.
Early figures mean nothing in the grander scheme of things.
Both consoles wi...

IMO, Apple have great single user based products. Very over priced but nonetheless do what they they say on the tin.
Problem I have with Apple is that they aren't enterprise friendly at all NOR are they future proof.

Microsoft have been creating software solutions for more years then the majority here have even lived through.
The fact people 'disagree' with the comment is astounding.
Fact is, everyone owes a debt of gratitude to the company for how they changed the future over the past 30 years.
Arguably... they were paid at each stage along the way for their services.
Do you think they saw what would truly become of their technol...
I like Microsoft... I've been using Microsoft products since I was 5 years old. So we're talking 20 years.
My Dad used their products 10 years before me.
It's because of companies like Microsoft that you're even capable of typing on this website.

I used to smoke and play video games...
I kicked the weed and still play video games...
They're two separate addictions!
This article is almost as bad as saying "I smoke weed when I drive a car... therefore they're both related"
Ive spent a fair share of time smoking weed and playing video games.
I quit the weed and still play games.
They're two separate addictions
It's like saying I smoke weed whilst I drive my car... so the two are certainly related.
I think development costs this gen are going to be a huge issue.
Consumer needs for graphics are getting more and more demanding with this generation of consoles and we all know that graphics are only a contributing factor to what makes a great game.
It's these demands that are more unrealistic then the graphics themselves.
I belive it's dev costs that are actually the secret limiting factor of the whole games industry. It's not console ha...
I already knew all of this.
Cloud is a term used to explain remote servers to simpletons.
The purpose of these servers can be for anything you wish and function best when constructed/programmed to do a desired objective.
It's better then relying on local client computing as the server has vastly more processing power (hence the price) and means that you don't need to sell a person a high end computer to get great results.

Yeah... who the hell moderates this website?
All posts supposedly get screened before being released?
I beg to differ.
The funny thing is... a majority of people who're posting Xbox 'articles' draw their resources from other peoples inaccurate posts.
It's like a sick game of chinese whispers, thats only correlation to actual news is the discourse this website shows.

MCC collection will be the bomb... It's the first console FPS I ever played online. It single handedly taught me how to mow down foes in any other game.
343 are offering sooooo much with that bundle and it's undeniable.
Say 15 hrs of campaign per game... not to mention different difficulties... added point alterations (skulls), achievements and co-op.
Months of online including fresh ranking system (h2 clans too) dedicated servers, re...
