Sorry to crash the thread.
I've seen the appalling performance video on DF.
I have a USB 3.0 5200rpm 2TB drive.
Only slowdown I've experienced is coming out of the pip-boy after switch weapons/apparel whilst dropping a bunch of items. Frame-drops are similar to previous Beth games... so not alarming really.
I haven't experienced anything like the video whilst having the the game run from the external. Be it even a...
I'm skeptical at best.
Generally, it's an ok experience if you want to play a few games... Anything more gets tedious.
MM times are way better then they used to be... When you get a game everything is great.
Still... The underlying issues I feel are so deep rooted that it can't possibly be fixed so close to launch.
Uneven teams - not actually that fussed really. Because ranked playlists aren't fully implemente...
@god
Dude... Wiki apple and Samsung and microsoft and compare the difference in asset...
Samsung are the ones to be scared of. Apple... Have outstanding PR, people think they're doing really well... And they're a desirable commodity.
Smart phone market... Weak
Mac pro's... Who's going to pay 10k for a top spec one that's pbsolete in a year.
MacBooks... They sell a fair amount... Probably the big se...
The article was posted yesterday on the 20th?
Im in the UK... thanks to insta-on feature and background downloading, I had to do a hard reset before the patch started to download.
Left it downloading at 00:30am GMT 21st.
Surely... everyone needs to download the patch for it to make a difference.
The patch presumably took ages to download too so (left mind at 4% and went to bed) probably best to wait a day and then see how the...
@ Miyamoto!
The reason the PS4 was cheaper is because it wasn't bundled with kinnect and was sold at a loss from the get go. Not to mention that GDDR5 is expensive to make and production standards depict that it won't get cheaper for a while.
PSN has more down time then a hooker.
The new control runs out of battery in 3 hours... and you can't change the battery when it degrades over time.
Touch pad = gay.
At least they fin...
having a whole year of bad buzz and PR blunders after another;
(Constant firmware updates bring more and more features, leading the next gen feature set)
multiple back pedalling and u-turns,
(Most done following E3 2013 on the road to launch, to re-correct the xbox one's path)
no return of investment for the death of Kinect 2.0
(I use mine all the time... how is the crappy PS eye treating you? Don't know... don't have one...
PS price dropped to start with...
And gddr5 isn't going to get any cheaper anytime soon
7 hr downtime!!! Definitely better then a 3 week long problem
That's all? I got more sleep then that last night!
^^^ Looking at all the comments, can easily see how many are on the MS hate train.
Should all be ashamed of yourselves.
@Ultr
He may be trolling...
Got to admit he has a point though, the backlash was huge.
Perhaps people were more annoyed at certain aspects of the XB1 plan... and weren't really bothered about TV after all (Just another thing that incited skepticism?)
More entertainment is a good thing and it's also good that Sony are taking this into account.
I agree with the root of what he said... just not the way he said ...
I pay 45£ a month on BT Youview, Broad band 60 Mb/s Down and 15 Mb/s Up. House Phone. £3 a month on XBL.
And an account on Netflix paid my my other-halves brother.
I don't-want and likely-won't invest in a PS4 but the prospect of flipping the industry on it's arse is quiet intriguing.
They can do what they like... if it's more expensive... doesn't matter, if the service is solid and functions as cable does, then ...
One of the best things about Halo, Customs and Forge!!!
I got my new Xbone yesterday afternoon 3:30pm... It was my 27th birthday so thought I'd treat myself to a finance deal (smh).
Either way... Took a fair old time until the console had downloaded all the apps and updates I needed... Also had to go through the motions of getting the Xb1 to an Open Nat... (Bt hub 5 with Cat 6 ethernet as standard still warrants a Moderate Nat?)
Then started installing MCC... Sat playing campaign for a bit while it installed.....
That's not a reply to what I wrote sir.
Pull stuff out of context as much as you like. My opinion counts as much as yours whether you agree or not.
1) playbook 4... Wasn't shaped like the origianl.
2) games ARE the reason I'm here. I do like my halos.
3) killer instinct games are awesome fun.

So on a local network connection... A lag is present....
That blows
So when we're sharing via other internet service providers... when we're talking about consumer level ISP... This'll be 4x worse then what they experienced.
It sums up quickly...
I expect highly accurate, twitch shooters, games that require split second corrections will suffer. Campaigns will probably be ok enough.
There's not a lot of supported codecs here...
Rip a disc from windows media? WMA default
Rip a disc to iTunes? AAC default.
Some people who don't care about file formats will likely have to start their collection again, or if they fownload via torrent, re download albums over again making sure they're MP3s to start with.
They better buffen out their codecs list sharpish
Grrr.
It's one of my favourite 360 features!
Sort this out MS!!!
Even sony have stated, the Gddr5 is limited by the CPU.
The moment the CPU handles messages and data, the bandwidth of the gpu gets scaled down.
176 MAX bandwidth. (Never actually reached)
Real world max (providing the CPU is being used during a game) is more like 145 Gb/s.
If laws of theoretical maximums apply, 145Gb/s isn't even real world too.
Check out their own official PDF to devs if you don't believe m...
I miss when reliable tech information came from a published book, not a douche "journalist" from Forbes.
Yeah,
In real world performance, that much better?
Paper is one thing...
It's like when a company says "get this router, you'll get 300mb/s wifi speeds"
That is:
A) at 100%
B) your adaptor can support the "standard".
C) when you realise you have 50%-60% wifi connectivity. Which isn't as secure as wired
D) then realise that 1 MB/s is equ...
I actually really enjoyed the Campaign. Contrary to popular belief.
The AI intelligence wasn't great... but then again you shouldn't get a second chance when you've been downed in front of a pair of hunters on Legendary.
Split-screen doesn't affect me.
