They must have had a nightmare trying to create a device that would be able to do everything it does... along with predict what where technology would be going in the future and assure the hardware is available out of the gate.

The thing that really makes me laugh is the term "Cloud".
Just which simple bugger came up with that anyway?
Might aswell have called it "Broccoli" or "Aspargus"

Should've called it w...

I work in a University institution.

We have 30,000 students and 8,000 staff members.

Everyone at the University has a remote windows desktop with allotted server storage. They have access to all licensed remote MS office applications and server virtualised versions of every programme you can expect to see on a PC including acrobat, skype, google chrome and surprisingly Adobe Photoshop.

IT support have remote access to everyones computers, con...

I honestly think the disparity between the consoles is way overrated.

The ps4 is easier to code for, hence current multiplat superiority.

They're only going to put the same amount of time into both, the fact the one's architecture doesn't even resemble the computers the devs have learned to code for, just shows the issue IS the devs problem.

It may sound contrary to popular belief but it is very probable.

Spotie^^^

Just what was wrong with what I said?

Personal experience is far more valuable then PR bumph.

Your right about not pigeon holing an entire fan base of course. But I wasn't doing that I just stated my own understanding.

Nothing wrong with targeting the casual gaming audience, after all they completely out number the hardcore players. Remind me again who doesn't target the casual gamer?

Don't forget bro...

Just because something is more popular... doesn't make it the best.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... if the XB1 gives you the functionality you desire, then it is better... FOR YOU!

Same with the PS4.

Im not a sheep, so I won't be going along with what everyone else does because of the web PR waffle but I can only afford one console.

Hence why it's a more scrutiness ...

It will make a difference.

If the CPU is the brains of the operation, then streamlining it's operation will most certainly help the system.

I'm not saying it'll make the game 10x prettier...
Im stating it'll help for DX12 coded games provide the user with a more fluid experience.

Less screen tear, quicker draw calls, streamlined frame-rate.

The GPU can only work as hard as it can but it always function...

It'll be a great game man. They're implementing tiled resources. So the frame rate will be silky smooth me thinks!

As for the 3rd person feature... it was cool in MW2.
The mechanic itself was a bit broken... but it was fun nonetheless!

Doubt it.

PS4 will get TR and the launch quality will be on par with the XB1.

It'll actually works in PS favour.
If the exclusivity deal prevents a PS release for a year... then that means there will be one less year between the RotTR and their next release.

It's a clever move by MS... not because of what everyone else is saying. More along the lines that they'll be effectively teaching SE how to release their future conte...

It looks like it's going to be a fun game.

Not sure about the longevity of the game after all... it appears to be quiet linear... and just what else is there in the way of content?
The art direction and graphics are pretty decent.

In my opinion, nothing worse then forking out 40-50 smackers on a game and completing it in a couple of weeks.

Happened to me with Bioshock infinite... rinsed through it in 4 sittings... as great as the ...

In DC's defence... as long as the tracks and car's they have implemented, perform well and offer a relatively balanced experience then there's a whole lot of fun to be had.

As long as the social features they rave on about are as good as they say, then the game may have legs.

Not bov'd about the resolution or frame-rate, i'm more interested in fun and game longevity.

50 to 60fps isn't so bad.

The game looks great and appears to be a lot of fun.

1080p isn't an issue... but it is a bonus.

Just what effect causes the frame drops though? Are they worse with specific characters?

The fact all these developers have to get MS involved with optimisation just shows that the dev's are struggling streamlining their products.

Next time round, the MS aid won't be needed...

Just how has it stumbled out of the door?

XB1 owners are surprisingly excited about this.

It sparked much comparison with the slated PSnow service, actually highlighting how it does give the consumer better value for money.
Thats just with 4 games in the vault!

I've said how I feel about this service in other threads.

Can't say I'm that pumped about Shareplay.

It's another one of those features that people aren't asking for... but it's going to be done anyway because Sony have their own ulterior motives at the end of the day.

Share play...? Get your own game and we can play together instead

Sshds aren't as good as people make out.

They have 8gb NAND flash storage. 16£ pen stick for those who don't know.
Frequently run files get stored there for quick ssd style read and writes.

Problem is, games are 50gb's.

I fail to see any advantage to these drives. 8 gig is enough to store the standard boot sequence and ui. Games will be exactly the same, unless one game is the only thing you do. What's to say the ...
