The first silent hill was ok! :O

The second is one of the worst things ever though.

I've got these old instruments and like to play with others so RB makes most sense for me on paper.. I don't have to buy anything but the game.

Bummed pithy the simplified character editor though. :(

Could you at least list a few of those ways rather than count them? RB4 has been pretty well recieved.

There's no reason other than money/time that games like NDs couldn't have at least subtlety branching narratives based on choices made.

The bombast and AAA everything being superpolished makes it resource intensive to pull off but it could totally be done, and that would be really cool.

No creative person or team worth anything is "threatened" by constructive criticism. Nobody came across looking silly at all.

It's not a competition.

The gore is a bit weird.. I like it but it's not quite true to the original, which wasn't gory at all.

Shadow Of The Beast 3's enemies exploded into pieces though I guess which was funny but not that bloody.

SOTB franchise was all about the atmosphere, music and environmental/fetch puzzles as well as the action.. It's nice to see them improving on the action bit but I hope they do the other stuff too.

The original version was on the Amiga but it was ported down to pretty much everything including the C64. :)

I love Psygnosis.

The Oculus Rift only asks for a GTX970 or above? It runs well on my set up which is hardly top of the line.

It's funny people saying there are more deserving people for what is essentially a digital birthday card..

Look at it this way though, his (40!) millions of subscribers got his playthroughs of games like Until Dawn.. He likely contributed to that game's success in the same way he totally made Flappy Bird's (and various other games).. This is new marketing, and a way companies stay relevant to many young players - whether you like the popular tubers or not.

He doesn't really do much in the way of rape jokes, and specifically went out of his way to address that and apologise for it..

He does scream though I'll give you that. :D

That's exactly *why* it's a good idea.. If MS follow up the XB1 with something slightly different, Sony can just chuck out a much more powerful iteration of the PS4 and keep the momentum they already have. Full backwards compatibility, better PSVR games,

Obviously it would look different and be marketed differently but it'd pretty much be PS4-2

3769d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm all for a more powerful ps4 when the time is right.. It'd ensure backwards compatibility! There's nothing wrong with the current design - at all. There's no reason at all to have such a drastic change as the PS3/Cell to X86 change. The PS4+ (or PS5) realistically could just be similar but with 2x the ram and a much faster CPU/GPU.. What possible reason would they have to mix it up further?

That's a franchise where I'd just think why not watch the movies instead? The world would be a little limiting for an interactive movie - it wouldn't compete with the real deal.. And we already know pretty much all the possibilities already. In comparison - Alien Isolation was a masterwork because it embraced it's traditional gameyness.

Those both are so far into the uncanny valley that it just makes ND look better. Especially Star Citizen - as much as I love that sequence, the facial capture was pretty wack.

How is a 3 not the middle rating in a 5 star system? :) It's what you'd give to an average, decent but unspectacular game, and people would still consider it decent because there'd be hundreds of other games with the same rating.. Many of which are good but niche, or don't quite hit the mark. (stuff like, say - splatter house.. Silent Hill Homecoming)

I don't really think people convert a 5 star rating to a percentile one.. Percentages are the silliest as ...

3775d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm very pro 1-5 rating. It's how most movies and music are scored, and a percentage system is just silly and implies an impossible level of objectivity. The bottom half of the scale barely gets used in a 1-10 or 1-100 scale.

In a 1-5 scale a 3 clearly has merit, despite being the exact middle rating. A 3 will appeal to genre fans but has some issues.

Waluigi - We have no idea what Nvidias low end will be in a few years when the next batch of consoles are being planned.

But if AMD is MS owned i wouldn't be surprised by all sorts of weird developments.

3777d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

I'm pretty sure Nvidia would be very eager for console money if MS were ballsy enough to stab them (and Intel) in the back by buying AMD.

Really bad idea in terms of many of MS's long standing partnerships.

3777d ago 0 agree10 disagreeView comment

AMD likely won't go under, they have various viable products that will continue to be made.. They might have to break into smaller companies etc and come up with novel relationships with other companies.

I just want them to stick around as competition. Nvidia/Intel shouldn't be the only game in town. (Excluding ARM and other more mobile things.)

I feel like people dismiss AMD CPUs too easily.. In certain circumstances they're strong. Their octocores are great for parallel processing and stuff like video encoding.. In some settings that's better than straight gaming grunt. In terms of overclocking you can also get a lot of bang for your buck.
