You can't really demand an end to repetitive games. Some people love repetitive games. Some people would prefer a lot of things to be padded with busywork while others want a quick thing.

People grind MMOs, Ubisoft titles, Mahjong, Minecraft for 100s, 1000s of hours.

I quite like the fact you can rush through stories largely but there's a bunch of extra stuff if you want it there too. There's place in the market for both styles.

Nah I'll just continue to mock it now, lol. It only looks foolish to a bunch of people I have no interest in appearing reasonable to in the first place.

False equivalence, weighted historical situations, yadda yadda. Simplifying things down to a "everything should be the same" binary ignores the fact that historically they haven't been even remotely equal. And this is women's *History* month. The Celebrating/ studying/ acknowledging one thing does not me...

Oh no! Not Women's history month! :O

It's a fine line between archetypes and stereotypes. All of these have their place at times.

Some are occasionally misused or seem out of place, admittedly, but on the whole I think things are improving.

27" curved 1080p monitor?

Only thing going for it sounds like freesync.. :/

Indeed. Games are games, you have to give kudos where it's due or you just look petty. It's great when people are this mature in the industry.

I get my EA/Origin games from Mexico using hola, everything works out about half price compared to the UK. No help for the console versions though. :(

I'd never heard that last bit either. Pretty much everything is rumoured to be blamed on the social justice movement though so I doubt that has any factual basis.

Bring back the keytar support is what I say. :(

@bimkoblerutso The initial post was not confrontational. The follow up was.

There's nothing confrontational about "it's nice to have something not aimed at straight males."

Apparently that warrants a bunch of disagrees.

People. :/

It's not supposed to appeal to us. Box art is to appeal to undecided folk and mainstream/casual/bro/parent/f riend gamers who could make impromptu/gift purchases. Gamers who know what's up aren't going to be swayed by box art at all. Impromptu purchase gamer doesn't want to feel judged when he/she takes his game to the counter, so they make the box art as vague and inoffensive as possible.

It also has *nothing* to do with the developers, and doesn't in an...

Depends on the game really. If the game makes you play a certain way. I played uncharted and tomb raider pretty much the same.. I played Joel and Ellie differently but that was mostly because of her different weapon/skill set.

Woah, this is looking a lot nicer than I expected it to!

Hmm, someone needs to make an attack on Titan VR thing, that'd be really creepy.

.. Actually I do know of a few people who pirated games then bought them once they appeared in a steam sale.. But those sales are often bordering on giving the games away anyway.

Gross generalisation. Not all PC gamers pirate.

Maybe you can hit 60fps with some unnecessary details toned back (shadow resolution, choice of AA) - as is often the case. A lot of the time the difference is pretty negligible.

I just lost a *ton* of bubbles for "off topic". Very dramatic bubble loss. Possibly also for implying n4g is full of kids (it is.) - great system there!

If the subject of a random political flash game can't be discussed then maybe the article shouldn't have been approved. Normally small flash games aren't a topic for discussion here, so to play the Trump card for hits then punish the readers for talking about it when there's clearly a crazy % of supp...

Social media can be pretty damn toxic if you're not careful. :/ It doesn't really matter what you say to some extent, there's bound to be an army of people there to kick you about, as someone will always disagree when you have a fanbase the size of his.

I really feel for him and his family. I like a lot of his content, and agree with many of his opinions, (while strongly disagreeing with others.) - but agreeing with him is pretty irrelevant, he puts out a lot of h...

Christ, everyone here is voting age the US is doomed. ;) Luckily Trump won't be a candidate then.
Either that or N4G is just a bizarre bubble of nutcases.. Which we knew already.

What we need is a beautiful wall!

If Trump ever became president I'd look forward to 0 cooperation from the rest of the entire world. It would be both cringeworthy and hilarious until he's impeached for doing something batshit insane. You think you've seen pro...
