Hmm, I guess with them being a racing studio, and Sony already having Polyphony for that they feel they don't need them now racing games aren't such a staple. A shame though.
I still miss Sony Liverpool / Wipeout.. Damnit.
I want wipeout VR - I've played things a bit like it on the dk2.. But I'd prefer the real deal!
Thats some next level context omission there. Quite a skill!
If it wasn't for the boobs this would be on the same level as absolute bottom of the barrel wii mini-game compilation crap.
To each their own though, if someone gets something out of it, go them!
Well, that was an unfortunate mistake on MS's part. Oh well they've apologised now, and someone is clearly getting a severe talking to based on the internal email, haha. http://www.geekwire.com/201...
What a dumb thing to do, seriously. Who's smart idea was this? From a PR perspective it's so hilariously brain dead.
Same happens with the DK2.. I think they have the comfort down with all the release headsets, as long as they're adjusted properly.
Yeah it really doesn't make a great deal of sense.. None of the current headsets have a full FOV. As a glasses wearer with a DK2 I'm not really sure what they mean by this..
I have no idea what games you play. It's not uncommon to need the d-pad, 4 shoulder buttons and all 4 face buttons. @_@
Excellent! I have no idea if it'll work well but I'd much rather see unique, interesting experimental stuff. Even if it means we don't get the same games across all systems.
No point releasing a system that's functionally the same as others.
I'm with you, initially that was supposedly the whole point of it.. I'm guessing it still does motion tweeting type stuff or the graphics are going to have to be severely cut back to reach ideal framerates.
TBH I think it'll outsell the others for some time, but I don't think they're necessarily playing as long a game as the Vive and OR. We know they're both going to get multiple revisions.. If PSVR doesn't do incredibly well it might not be supported for all that long. See PS:Move, Vita, Kinect, etc.. The subsequent versions of the OR etc will have reduced prices too..
I want PSVR to do well and raise the boat for everyone, but they'd better stick with i...
Hmm, to be fair once you're wearing a headset you're completely cut off from the outside world anyway, so the wires are less of an issue to parenting than the fact that you're sat there completely dead to the world. :D eg: you're unlikely to be playing it in front of your kid much.
You'd just have to unplug it or plop it up on a shelf when it's not in use? (My dk2 lives on a shelf above the display.)
The reason for the no under 12s th...
I don't see any winners in the VR space as the PS headset caters to different things than the OR or Vive.. People will buy what they want, but the open nature of PC VR has some pretty massive advantages.
Contemplating getting PSVR - depending entirely on the software lineup. Will also get Rift CV2 in a year or two. (Have a dk2 atm)
Really looking forward to them upping the display resolution though, 1080p isn't great when it's right next to your e...
I wonder how much (if any!) of it will run on the good ol' DK2.
Either way I'm looking forward to a VR gaming future.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. ;)
There isn't a damn consensus. And if there was it wouldn't necessarily be an educated one. There is often good discussion on Kotaku articles. A consensus among people likely to neg specific news sources is not a consensus among the userbase of the site. That's just mob "justice". People like me apparently have to keep reminding people like you that other opinions exist here, but they defi...
"Are there? Ok, since below you link about Women's History Month, please link to International Men's Day, or Men's History Month, or hell *Male Awareness Day*." - DK, yesterday.
Don't act all patronising while ignoring what you *just* wrote, haha.
The only person who's said anything negative about men is you with your bizarro SJW straw men. Carry on, it's entertaining. I love how you act like you can realistically speak for a...
Well.. equal employment rights is a good thing. They should probably have concentrated on higher impact stuff like that than nit-picking art.
Balls to that. Stick an appropriate age certificate on it and leave it be.
Censorship isn't an answer. Making sure it gets to the right people is an issue but otherwise I don't really get the point of such an external critique. (I doubt they keep the guro etc in the kids sections anyway, haha.)
But who got to keep the cat with a chicken on its head?
Really enjoyed this.. I've not run in to some of these probs.. Moderation is just one of those things. :/
I'm actually really glad the site voting feature doesn't work how you seem to want it to, and I'm pretty sure the site runners wouldn't want it that way either.
I'd be up for that if it was a personal filter and applied to what the site showed the individual in question, but letting one majority decide certain things isn't actu...
It's always pretty funny sparring. What, pray tell would be wrong with furthering women's cause? It's not a competition. If one does well it isn't inherently at the expense of the other. It's in everyone's interests for everyone to be happy, fulfilled and empowered.
"Wealthy women have it better than poor men." No really? You're suggesting its a complex set of interlocking social issues that impacts some people more than others? :O

Driveclub ended up being like a driving equivelent of PSHome, where they pitch it as a platform and have great intentions but it didn't really stick and then Sony just sort of shrug and wander off, despite there being some really good ideas and content there if they'd just been executed differently. Oops. :/
