They’ve always been here. There’s sometimes only a glimmer of any alternative viewpoint.
It’s an alternate history. Nothing is sullied. The audience of “gamers who will happily play as either male or female characters without throwing their toys out of the pram” definitely does exist.
SJW has never had any power as a term, it’s stupid. You just told someone off for using neckbeard, you’re no better.
- Spoken as somewhat of a neckbeard who has no problems with people also thinking of him as a SJW. 🤷🏻♂️
What the hell are you talking about? Are you the person in your face pic? Hardly anyone is their face pic. I have never ONCE claimed to be female here.
What exactly is your problem? Are you suggesting that by liking the sims I’m pretending to be a girl? 🤯
It’s good to see another take on Seasons, as I’ve seen largely positive stuff about it from other reviewers.
I’m one of those people who often sinks a lot of time into these expansions, and so far it’s been worthwhile. The calendar and ability to make custom special events are my fav features. In a house with a lot of sims the calendar is really damn useful.
Err, I’m male and (largely) straight and I have absolutely no problem with other groups being represented. It’s not pandering. Could make for some interesting stories and dynamics that we don’t see constantly.
They “took it back”, it’s not entirely different to the two different variations of the N word for people self identifying as part of the group vs people using it against them as an insult.
The Q in LGBTQ is Queer, and it hasn’t always been always an insulting term anyway - it’s a lot broader than some of the other letters so covers a lot of different groups.
Would a straight kiss have been shoving heterosexuality down your throat?
A lot of people claiming they don’t care about something while simultaneously flapping about it.
Umm. SJWs are happy with TLOU, you can be critical of stuff you love. You can wish for something and also realise it wouldn’t make it better from other perspectives.
How are they doing that though? Presenting their own views on the site they work for isn’t shoving anything down your throat. They aren’t making you read it. 😂
Writing about queer issues while being queer?
Of course people write about what they know/care about you buffoon. And trannyish? Grow up.
The male outfits are not as bad, lol. Voldo is made to be a freak not to be a attractive. Even if he is a weird fetish freak, he’s nobody’s* ideal. Ivy is straight up paint by numbers teen lust fantasy. (And I have no issue with that)
NB - I freaking LOVE Soul Calibur it’s one of my favourite series by far. If the devs just owned it and said “we wanted sexy lady characters because we like sexy lady characters.” There’d be no problem IMO.
* ok there’s like...
The point Heather is making is not that TLOU should have happy Queer characters.
Seems a lot of people haven’t read the article. It’s a commentary on the seeming fetishisation and normalisation of *extra* badness happening to queer characters - it’s not singling out a single game and saying it should be happier, it just mentions a bunch of different games to make its point. It makes sense people see that kiss as a likely foreshadowing of her gf dying, which is.. interesti...
Much nicer to use how/why? Steam’s big picture mode essentially makes it run like a much more powerful console.
I love my consoles too but I don’t see a big functional difference. They all have their annoying long patch times etc. 😅
Like Razzed I use origin, iPlayer, itch.io, Steam and Origin. I have absolutely no problem with games being sold outside of Steam, nor do many gamers.
No I wouldn’t call monkey island mediocre at all.. monkey island was amazing.. but it had incredible writers, artists and musicians at the helm.
I’m not dissing point and click adventure games - I love them - just Larry has always been a bit crap imo.
Subject matter/PCness aside.. Do people actually rate these as adventure games? They’ve always seemed.. Mediocre at best? Like, they sell because of the subject matter and if the same teams applied their talent to a point and click adventure about anything else - nobody would care? Seems cynical?
TBH I wouldn’t mind if from here on out we just get spec bumps with backward compatibility. There’s no need for any more big architecture changes and they’ve done all the branching out type experimentation and things stabilised to almost exactly where they were before it all. 🤷🏻♀️
Does a much faster PS4 need to be called PS5? What are they going to use to sell such a platform?
Looking forward to it working well enough to be useful.. though I’d probably need a faster rig, so it’s a moot point. 😅
Played through on PS3, love it and undead nightmare. Still like to have all my games archived on the pc where possible though, alongside my other libraries. Point being the PS3 version (and to a slightly lesser extent the 360 one) had crappy performance/resolution. Admittedly nowhere near this bad, but the idea of future PCs running it better is en...
You completely misread him. 100% no question about it. He was clearly having fun.
