I would use it for home brew and emulators but never for piracy of recent gens games. (Emulation often amounts to a piracy grey area) its a shame there’s no way to unlock a bit of the potential without opening up the whole thing to bad actors.

Multiplayer games are a huge part of the PS platform. No less than the competition. You’re stretching here.

A lot of the effects would need a lot of work to be VR friendly, I don’t think they’ll bother. :(

Putting real businesses in games is usually risky.. too easy to be controversial and they’re usually only temporary deals. (Much of the time the tie-ins have to be removed in later editions.) GTAs attention to detail regarding its fake businesses is one of the funniest things about it. :D

It’s a bit different to reporting on YTers as their personality and opinion are their brand/product. They don’t get get to have such a clear distinction between on and off the job.
No. People need to understand and appreciate what the game is trying to do and it’s place in the market.. nobody should be expected to be good at *all games* - yet a reviewer is often going to be tasked with scoring something that’s outside of their stronger areas.
You can’t really quantify “good” anyway. I’d say I’m bad at bloodborne.. finished it, but not skilfully (haha.) still my favourite game of the generation so far.
I don’t know mind the long Dev time as long as they’ve keep on working on it and don’t curtail their vision or rush features.

My gf/wife (my avatar pic here) had a Sega Genesis/megadrive back in the day but didn’t really continue gaming post that gen. I reintroduced her to gaming with Silent Hill 2 and we ended up playing quite a bit of WoW together, among other things. Nowadays we mostly play Rock Band 4, but she likes to watch more “hardcore” things.

Bot AI for a game like this would be insanely difficult to program, as it’s so dynamic and they’d have to give them proper group dynamics. Not impossible but not exactly worth the time and effort either.
I find it pretty hard to call anything so story based “the best.” Can’t do it objectively. I didn’t like 8 or 9 much due to the stories. If you connect with one and enjoy the mechanics it’ll be your favourite, but there can’t really be a best.
You don’t get people trying to figure out and justify the best book or song in the same way.
Absolutely loving mobile games finally living up to some of the potential of modern devices. Having a decent PUBG and a *very* decent fortnite is a bit surreal.
