Ive played through it with kb and some of the clunkiest old school joysticks imaginable.. Im not sure DS4 will make much difference, lol.
It came from the desert was awesome but im not convinced it was actually a particularly good game? Probably depends on one's personal nostalgia and tastes at the time.
HD Defender Of The Crown would be pretty funny too.. Given the Shadow Of The Beast and Putty reappearances, it'll be like a highschool reunion of Amiga games.

Those aren't changes that'd offer all that much difference to most people though. They'd also need obscenely powerful (expensive) tech.
Well its proven to be a massive part of it. If VR does even a tenth as well as mobile, Oculus and Sony will be very happy!
that puzzles me too.. maybe the engine is awkward to work cross platform with? it seems like a perfect candidate for a simple up-res port though, it's pretty enough already, just give in 1080 and call it a day!
i buy games very regularly but still get a lot of new stuff. its a bit of a gamble but you have to be very unlucky not to get a constant trickle of new things.
Because octodad is highly anticipated and will sell well. Trials Fusion is new. Ubisoft aren't going to fudge the sales of a popular franchise for our benefit. it only makes sense for big studios/publishers to offer up their older stuff.

@kavorklestein You're telling me they aren't going to make massive sales pushes on cards that are "DX12 ready" ? You're insane if so.
People are going to upgrade their cards for DX12, regardless of how many of the features work on old cards. Massive api updates like this sell cards, and nvidia and AMD are banking on them doing so.
Except in Japan - where the DC could have happily pootled along without EA's support.
Sega were trying to negotiate the Xbox having DC compatibility too. Things could have been really different for Sega. :(
Sega never had even close to the amount of different interests, revenue streams and infrastructure Sony have. Sony aren't going to close one of their spearhead divisions or close up shop completely.
Sega's running out of money was as much a result of the death of the arcade as it was the home market.
Yeah, so can the Gran Turismo series, and Wipeout. That's not the point though, its how nice it looks when you use the feature. :)
I'd put the blame at least half at MS's feet. I remember reading about a lot of bad blood between Sega and MS over MS's entry into the console space shortly after them committing to supporting the DC and licensing WinCE to it, etc. There would have been space in the marketplace for the DC if the XBox hadn't come along and "borrowed" most of it's key features.
They could have done themselves a huge favour by getting so out of sync with modern specs.. Couple of years into the PS4/x1 generation and they'll be able to pick up comparable or even more powerful hardware cheaper.. And actually have a hardware lead for once?!
Which is extremely unlikely to happen as nintendo seem to go for underpowered devices.. It would be a funny play for them to make though. :)
Of COURSE GPU makers sing the praises of new DX builds. In the past they've been a massive consideration causing people to upgrade their graphics cards.
Nvidia and AMD constantly overhype new features that either barely get used or weren't that big a deal in the first place. They depend on people demanding the newest and shiniest. They'll rally behind MS to hype this because they stand to make a ton of money.
Somehow ive never played Heavy Rain or Beyond .. I wouldn't mind them getting pretty remasters before i get a chance to!
Who "wins" E3 is almost completely down to perspective.. When Nintendo have previously hyped stuff hardcore gamers don't care about it has had legs with the mainstream media and resulted in obscene sales figures..

I barely scratched the first game and never bought the third. If this bundle ends up costing less, or similar to the cost of the third game it might make sense for me to buy the trilogy and start afresh.
.. Probably not though as I suspect the PC version (which is where I have 1&2) is fancier. Who knows with these remakes though? They might tweak some stuff. Interesting.
