Sigh.......... the 360 is 8 years old and ps3 is 7 years old. This is the longest generation of consoles in history. We need new hardware. Why do articles like this exist?

You sort of have to think about it being in the shoes of the developers. Of course they would like to be more open about their development process for the games, but there are executives that make sure they don't for political reasons. I'm surprised IW even came out and confirmed that Ghosts was 720p on Xbone and 1080p on PS4. They could have stayed quiet about the whole thing.

But you also can't just say flat out one is more powerful than the other without the co...

To be fair, they only had 2 years to make it for 6 platforms. PS3/360/PS4/XBone/WiiU/PC.

They are stretched thin by Activision.

I'm with you, I can't believe it's been 7 years since the ps3 and 8 years since the 360 came out. I haven't been this excited for new hardware in a long time. Though I've done most of my gaming on the pc the past couple years, I always come back to the PlayStation for the franchises and exclusives.

Such a poor article.

Let me add that it also has Unicorn Tears, the blood of a virgin, Black Magic, and fairy dust that will one day make all Xbox One games 1600p 120fps.

Yeah all you really need is about a $200-$250 graphics card and it will do a majority of games at 1080p 60fps or greater.

"Having moved ahead in terms of image quality, there's no doubt that Sony's new platform comes out on top overall in the performance metrics too. This is best demonstrated in matching sequences, such as a cut-scene on a Shanghai river where it commands a constant 2-4fps lead, and likewise during the tearing a...

O'Really?

"When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has provably more performance than PS3. Keep in mind that Sony has a track record of over promising and under delivering on technical performance"

Microsoft's Larry Hyrb cared so much he wrote 4 pages on how "superior" the 360 is to the PS3. ...

And all of a sudden it doesn't matter to you hardcore Microsoft fans.

It mattered in the past 7 years how much better multiplatform titles on the 360 looked and ran better than the PS3.

Now it doesn't matter anymore.

Although I'm considering to buy an XB1, I really really hate that Microsoft community. It's full of backwards people like you.

They were singing a different tune back in 2006

"I guarantee that Xbox 360 games will look better than PS3. Xbox 360 is easy to develop on and programmers have experience already. We will keep ahead of the curve for two to three years"

http://www.xboxic.com/news/...

Seems like they really cared about "looks" at that time.

In no particular order I'm looking forward to Killzone Shadow Fall, Infamous Second Son, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Gran Turismo 7, The Last Guardian (come on Sony), Halo 5, Destiny, and whatever Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica makes.

Still eh about The Order 1886 until I see more stuff, and might give Titanfall a go on the PC.

Sony really needed it, and so far it is paying good dividends for them in terms of positive PR, consumer interest and support, and developer relations.
