Most of us who grew up in the late 80s, early 90s, probably had a Nintendo console of some sort. I personally had a NES, SNES, N64, and Wii. I skipped the Game Cube. Probably might skip the Wii U, not sure about that one yet.
The market is changing. Although there's a lot of focus on mobile platforms, there's also a surge in the PC gaming market. People are starting to wise up about hardware.
You see it a lot now, people actually talk about Graphics...
This is precisely my point. But speculation is getting long in the tooth, so let's see what they come up with when they announce it. Who knows, Microsoft might not even talk about hardware specs at all.
In short, Yes. I felt they ended the series in a high note. I am really not sure how they are going to spin-off the story after this one.
It's more of a mental thing for me.
I wanted a Vita since it came out, but at the time I could not justify and still can't justify the purchase yet.
But if I was able to get a deal on it, then my brain tells me it's more justified.
It's the same with software. There were a few times I bought games off of Steam (3-4 years ago) for almost full price. Then a few months later those same titles on steam sales for 33% off or whateve...
You never know, some people believe Microsoft can change it to GDDR5 at the LAST MINUTE because they are MICROSOFT.
Kids I tell yah'
Coming out on PC and PS4.
Oh decisions decisions.
I was here in 2006. It wasn't just PlayStation gamers that were targeted. The sheer mention of you owning a Wii over a 360 grants you 10 lashes.
Thankfully those rabid 360-only fans are gone.
Now I've also noticed the uprising of rabid PS fanboys, but they are nowhere near the mental retardation of those 360 ones.
I don't think the "core" gamers would really have a problem with it if they didn't shove it in their faces everywhere they went. It's like when they spend 45 minutes on Kinect games at E3 and 15 minutes about games they actually want.
But then again it's a business, and yes Kinect was successful for Microsoft, so it makes sense they are pushing it.
Hardware wise they need:
16 Core Intel i7-4960X Processor
32GB GDDR6 in Quad Channel
2 GTX TITAN's on the same die
2TB SSD
USB 4.0
All priced under $299.
There's no denying he's one of the best in the industry when it came to game directing, but that doesn't give him any right to be a pompus douche commenting about anything and everything as if he is some sort of God of knowledge on all subjects.
I didn't have money at the time lol
This year, I'm going to get a PS4 though. And if for some reason some smooth black friday deals come up, I'm also gonna get a Vita.
^While I agree Crysis 3 is one of the best looking games created TO DATE. Those are still up-sampled images though. Not taking anything away from Crysis 3 . Just sayin'
Forza 5 --> brand new hardware & 8GB of slow cheap DDR3 RAM
Hardware war over: PS4 victory confirmed.
Well I agree. I'm on the side of "They should release it on PS4."
Not only will it make the PS4 investment more worthwhile, it would also just be awesome to see GT6 without hardware limitations.
Well, that and it took them what, 5 years to make GT5's engine which is probably better suited to the Cell Processor.
^I have a feeling you didn't see Reggie Fils-Aime
Oh wow, because of that one single tweet. I believe he is a God now! Move over Kratos!
Actually, if you look at the 360 it is really 8 year old tech, and the PS3 is 7 year old tech.
So come on, let's all give a hand to the Wii U for catching up to 7 and 8 year old hardware.
*Slow Clap*
Joking aside, it's still better than not having anything at all. Now I'm curious on what Zelda is going to look like. It might actually be a reason I'll buy a Wii U in the future.
That does look pretty good. Glad to see someone is trying to utilize the hardware. Activision, take note.
