I want a PS4 to play PS4 games. Nothing else.

Umm... If you actually read the satirical article, it makes fun of Sony as much as they make fun of Nintendo.

It's N4G, where any random blogger could create a website overnight, put an attractive headline, and get hits.

Let's hope for all our sakes, companies use "SimCity" as an example of how always-online DRM is more hurtful to the consumers and themselves.

Well to be fair, Polygon still kept a score History for all to see. It's not as nefarious as this article is making it out to be. Technically they didn't "CHANGE" the review score, but rather they "UPDATED" it to reflect the game. Which is good for the people reading the reviews because a game like SimCity in its current state, SHOULD NOT BE BOUGHT and DESERVES a 4/10. If Polygon left the review at a 9/10 with all the issues it has now, then it would look like they...

I'm going to get most of my games on the PC if it's available. However, the majority of PS4 games will be exclusive or something that I feel is worth it to get the PS4 version (IE: Battlefield 4) just to play with friends.

The point he is trying to make is that most consoles that launched above the $600 ended up cancelled. But the PS3 is the first console in history to launch at that price and still survived until now and manage to sell 77m world wide.

Well graphics is going to be an obvious one. But I'm thinking they might try to tie in some of the social aspects of the system and maybe do something with the touchpad and speaker on the DS4.

That is a strange boxart choice. Joker in the middle and Green Arrow knocked down between Superman and Batman.

And once the Pirates hack an Offline version, all those legit pissed off people are going to pirate it.

Perhaps, we're lucky if other publishers use this as an example in their business meetings of what NOT TO DO.

LOL my personal favorite is Joker.

"We Kill... The Cheetah"

This is exactly why Naughty Dog is a premium developer. They care about all aspects of gaming and isn't just focused solely on one thing.

They even dabbled in social aspects with facebook and twitter at one point. And now even made UC3 free to play.

Probably my favorite developer this entire generation. Anxiously waiting for the Last of Us and I can't wait to see what they come up with next PS3 or PS4.

To sum up what he said.

"Well no sh*t it's going to be better than current gen. Did you expect it to be otherwise? Now let's see some good games. And F*ck you Mark Cerny, we ate together at dinner last night and you didn't mention the PS4 specs!"

Yeah that is true, for those who already KNEW about the DRM, shouldn't have bought it lol

I believe some people might have not been aware of the DRM online-only method.

Some people figure, I just want to play Single Player and skip the Multiplayer.

Buys the game, goes home, loads it and then can't log on.

Not everyone "knows" of what goes on the games industry like we do.

Oh I completely understand about having more people being able to play it.

But my point was for them to "scale" it wider. Meaning, have the options available to the user to either run it on really low if you need to while enjoying the game, and allowing people with higher end hardware to expand it even further.

I mean graphics wise its understandable, but they really limited the gameplay potential by having such small city limits.

Here's a fine example when a PC developer develops for the lowest common denominator that isn't a console.

"Your dad's 3 year old laptop"

If they would have scaled it to allow peoples modern i5s, i7s, FX8320, FX8350s to freakin have a bigger city, they probably would have had better reviews.

And to top it off with their stupid always-online DRM makes it worse.

GDDR5 CAN be used as system memory. The "G" is simply an annotation to represent the RAM that is used in graphics card. But it can still do system memory functions, it's just has higher latency.

Which refer back to my original point that having lower latency on a gaming console isn't as important as having it on a computer.

For games, memory timings and latency is almost irrelevant. Speed and bandwidth is far more important. Hence that is wh...
