Agreed! Definitely a Day One non-purchase!
Microsoft: Hey... sorry... I know I tried to F' your moms and all. But that's not going to happen. Oh well, wait, we're still going to F' her at only once when you first launch the console, but after that no more.
Everyone else: Wait, you tried to F' my mom and now expect us to just look the other way?
Xbox Fans: What? Why didn't you stick with your original plan of F'ing my mom? That would have made me happy even though deep insid...
I would say the last generation on 360/PS3, sides didn't have to be chosen. Because I have both still.
But with the PS4/XBone, it's a clear choice. You either pick the console that was designed with us gamers in mind, or the anti-consumer One.
And it's clear that even in the Press conferences, that gamers AND most journalists agree that Microsofts policies aren't in the interest of the consumers.
That makes sense. Plug your offline device into the always-on one.
Actually that's funny, most of the standard consumers probably "whipped out the credit card" for the XBOX360 is because it was cheaper.
Now they will "whip out the credit card" for the PS4 because it's cheaper. And good thing too since they will get the better console for a better price.
It's not just the fact that Microsoft is clearly overpricing and shoving all those unnecessary restrictions, it's also because Sony went to the polar opposite. Better hardware, lower entry price point, and no restrictions sealed the deal.
I'm pretty certain it will come out before Black Friday.
LOL
I can't wait to see the secret meet up photos of Phil Harrison and Kaz Hirai.
I'm pretty sure a lot of Xbox360 owners cared and bashed the PS3 that it didn't have an included headset.
Ironic isn't it?
Dang it I didn't pre-order fast enough
We're fortunate that people like Mark Cerny exist who influence even the highest executives at Sony.
Honestly, Don Mattrick is right. If someone wants to buy an offline device.
Get a 360.
or a PS4.
or a PS3.
or a PS2.
or a PS1.
or a Dreamcast.
or an NES.
or an Atari 2600.
Flawless victory. Though it doesn't reflect the entire country. Safe to say more gamers are interested in the PS4.
The person who wrote this "article" is probably one of the same people who think school is for fools.
Good thing it's not a paid service and is free for everyone.
Just sayin' you don't exactly have to want to play the other titles I mentioned. But the fact there's still hundreds of other games that are already released the pass, you know 6-7 years that people can still play.
Probably because those same people would rather be busy playing Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Crysis 3, etc. etc. etc. You know, modern games that are available everywhere except the Wii U.
It's not much of a list convincing people otherwise. 3 of those are already out on other consoles, and quite frankly the rest is not all that interesting. The only two that I'd probably want to play is Super Mario Bros U and Monster Hunter.
That's the thing about marketing. If they make it appear like a value, then people will pay for it.
I'm pretty sure the Microsoft Sales/Marketing Team is hard at work right now on how to sell an always-online console.
The Irony is amazing isn't it.
