I agree. They could have used that money elsewhere. However we are talking about MS here. Spending $50 million to them is seriously only like buying a 99 cent cheeseburger.
Oh one more thing, as far as hardware talks go. One thing to keep in mind is people who buy a Honda, and have good experiences with Honda. most likely will continue to buy a Honda, or other japanese manufacturers.
People who buy a honda and have the crappiest experiences of all time, most likely will not buy a honda again.
It's more than likely the reason why people who bought a PS2 with majority being good experiences, will buy a PS3. They are waiting for speci...
All this talk about Downloadable content? Go ahead and tell that "casual" gamer he has to pay a $50/year subscription to Xbox Live to play online, and then the downloadable content isn't free. Knowing Rockstar and Microsoft, who knows how much it will cost?
All in all, it's too early to tell the actual sales numbers though. Once april 29th hits, we'll see how it really goes. For some reason I picture a nice split between the two.
However notably though...
i don't think the complaint is about the location of the d-pad, but rather it's shape. they should just make the up, down, left, right individual buttons instead of one fat circle.
it just sucks when you're trying to call a UAV or airstrike, instead you hit the night vision mode.
for the most part though, the 360's controller is fine the way it is.
"If I'm gonna have to stare at the back of this toon for hours at a time, I might as well enjoy the view."
Exactly... exactly...
If you're going to be crawling in a dungeon, do you wanna see a 450 year old dwarf's crotch? or a 21 year old artificial female hottie. nuff said.
The 360 has now become like debt, millions of people are used to it being part of they're lives
So if it ever does come out on the 360, I expect many many posts of how awesome that game is going to be since it's coming out for the 360. And many more posts about how superior it is compared to the PS3 version. And many more posts about PS3 losing exclusives. And many more posts about graphics comparison about how the 360 will have 2 more textures than the PS3 version. And then of course finally MGS4, and Final Fantasy XIII is going to the 360.
Expect some more of these videos from E3
incase you didnt know, blu-ray was delayed for the PS3. which is why the standalone BD players were missing those features from the get go.
If this game was an xbox360 exclusive, I forsee an A+++ out of A+.
the 360 looks like it has sharper textures everywhere. however, it's nothing really to write home about. PS3 owners at least get a chance to play the game how it's meant to be played, and no 8 month delay like the original. let's just hope the multiplayer plays how it's supposed to play, then everybody can be happy. i for one am getting the PS3 version anyway.
edit: actually, damn. i just re-looked at some of the pictures. but is it me, or does the PS3 version looks like it ha...
Please keep those comments in the open zone. And it's no wonder you only have two bubbles.
Going to change my boxers now...
actually the investment to hack a PS3 isn't as worth it to hack a 360. The 360 is cheaper, so if you mess it up, it's not as bad as messing up a more expensive PS3. Secondly, blu-ray RW discs are still too expensive compared to dual layer dvd's.
I don't see hacked ps3's being the norm until at least 1-2 years from now.
Grand Theft Auto V exclusive to PS3?
Yup like Lost Odyssey. Oh wait.
It's not really too surprising considering how even Ubisoft couldn't make Haze multiplatform. So even EA could keep the developer's relations good by respecting Bioware's requests to keep Mass Effect exclusive to the 360.
And personally it doesn't make much sense to PS3 owners either way even if they get Mass Effect 2 seeing as how most of them never played the first one.
Did you not read anything of the article? Basically to me it seems like a rant that happens to be true. Mario and Sonic are iconic figures in the gaming industry, but man they have way too many games. And he doesn't disagree that it will sell millions of copies anyway. It truely is sad though that a game like "Mario and Sonic goes to High School" will probably outsell gems like COD4 easily.
I agree. Except the part about bungie making quality games.
Let's be honest, Halo 3 didn't revolutionize anything. Only Halo 1 revolutionized the industry for making a successful FPS for a console. Halo 2 made it even further by introducing dual-wielding. But Halo 3? Pfft, it really didn't introducing anything new. And the 4 player co-op was tacked on after Haze gave the idea of 4 player co-op.
And so it begins. Now the Xbox360 version will receive 10/10's left and right, while the PS3 version might get a 9.2 or 9.1 because of a 1 frame rate dip.
Only for those review sites that get the free GTAIV Xbox360 of course!
