Well, if anybody remembers GT2, it had a wet track. Who knows, maybe weather effects are in the pipeline, as is damage.
But I agree, after damage modeling, weather effects should come next. And if anybody can pull it off, it's polyphony.

But in all seriousness, it's not that surprising a gran turismo game is going to sell. It sits in the eyes of casuals around the world. Saying you play Gran Turismo is as common saying you played Super Mario Brothers.
Actually Halo 3 was the Halo killer.
Mostly because it wasn't even remotely next-gen. It was almost next-gen.
Haze on the other hand, still has a lot to prove. But who knows, it might actually turn out to be good. They just need to nail down the multiplayer as well. Have good servers, that you can play right off the bat. Although UBISOFT doesn't have a good track record on they're games for that right now. Yes FR is developing, but UBI is the ones that's going to be taking...
well considering they already have the graphics down, they can focus on physics and will surpass forza 2.

You know, there's not just video game fanboys. There's all kinds of fanboys, especially in the automotive world. Camaro fanboys. Mustang Fanboys. Honda Fanboys. Evo fanboys. WRX fanboys. the list goes on.
And guess what, every single one needs to take they're heads out of they're rears, and realize there's a lot of other good things out there than just one brand.

Probably going to pass this one up. People were complaining GT5P had any content for $40, when it has 70 cars, 1 sports bike (CBR 600), and a F1 Car, 1280x1080p resolution @60fps, 6 tracks plus 6 reverse, plenty of events, online drift trials with leaderboards, and better physics.
So why don't folks complain that GRID has only 50 cars for a full $60.
And personally, I hate arcadey simulator racing games. It sucks as an arcade racer, and it sucks as a simulator wh...
Anybody else notice that none of this data includes GT5P's download off the PSN store? Considering that the BD versions are probably sold out, some would have flocked to the downloadable version.
But honestly, is anyone really that surprised? I'm not. It's Gran Turismo. And it's amazing that a "$40 Demo" is outselling full priced games.
See, it's not always about graphics. It's about value.
Why keep spending $300 every year on a new graphics card that will "blow your mind" when you can just buy a 360 or PS3 and call it a day.
And if PC graphics was a deciding factor in anything, then it should have killed the PS2. But it didn't.
It's also about software, there's a lot of software available on consoles that people love, that just aren't on PCs. Like Gran Turismo, Metal Ge...

that's highly subjective, but yes american cars quality are at the bottom of the pits. but there are some diamonds in the rough. Corvette Z06, Shelby GT500, Ford GT, Ford GT40, Saleen S7, Dodge Viper to name a few.
Other than that, it's japanese cars for me. Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Subaru!!!
