Fortunately we live in a sane world where I, as a gamer, don't give a damn about Nintendo's pride. I care about Nintendo's games. I can't play pride on my television, just games.
As for Nintendo going 3rd party... just stop. Either stop, or explain to me how Nintendo would NOT lose money on that deal (long and short term).

I am not a tech guy, but the Pixar example sounds absolutely absurd. Even if a movie does cost $200 million dollars to make the BluRay, DVD, and movie ticket prices don't seem to skyrocket... so why should games?
If you make good games, instead of mediocre ones (Epic Mickey!) then you won't have to be "scared".
