I think with the coming of killzone 3 more developers will want to develop for the ps3.
Though business wise the new standard set by killzone 2 does come at a price and may deter companies developing for the platform considering the extra costs in development of such graphical games.
Touchy subject
What I would like to see is a joint venture between sega and nintendo, two companie good at hardware and software.
Though a Joint venture between microsoft and sega makes far more sense to me esspecially since Microsoft sucks at the hardware side but does got the financial strength. Also both companies don't really like sony.
I wouldn't call this game racist. Even hough I didn't play the full game.
But I am sure this isn't a accurate indication of live in africa. Sure enough there are lots of nice people no zombies etc in Africa.
Though the problem might be that some people might think that African people act like crazy zombies trying to kill white people and that's exactly where the problem starts.
Don't really think it's a good comparison, we all know killzone looks better than halo3.
Though in the comparison it looks better but I wouldn't say miles ahead.
Ans also why compare killzone2 with Halo3 the timeframes of the games just don't match up. next up comparison between halo2 and killzone 2.
Really why post something like this as an article on N4G,these things belong on the forum of the hiphopgamershow.
True almost every ps3 respectable Dutch playstation owner will buy killzone. There aren't that many big games made by Dutch developers.
Think these numbers are actually quite good for Microsoft, since they have been facing more competition from sony.
It's clear that Sony has been picking ups speed.
I am more surprised that the difference between sony and microsoft is only 1.4 billion considering the revenue includes their psp and ps2 revenues.
shame love the anime, even though it has a weak story.
I love the action of the anime exactly the reason why I might still buy this one.
They could just have had a sale on e-bay...
Hope for them they will have the money to buy killzone 2
If you simply ask the question who is doing better the answer is easy nintendo
looking who put more effort in their gaming division, think for 2009 it is Sony. Looking at announced titles and learning curve/difficulty of the cell.
Though you have to consider that Microsoft managed to obtain fromer exclusive from Sony and still manages to sell lots, even though they're known for their red ring.
Read somewhere it's a brand new trailer, announcement of a new personage and a message of the director Motomu Toriyama.
Xbox 360 is doing fine, even if they can expect more competition from Sony.
Though Microsoft as a whole is doing a lot worse looking at their loss of market share in their operating system and browser.
He could have been more precise,
Also (to Kaz Hirai) stop operating in "your world" and start operating in the real world
Netherlands has a population between 16-17 millione people.
Also by european law durable products (cars, wachines) must have a minimum of a 2 year guarantee.
With a life expectensee of I hope 10 years they might need to reconsider. Though looking at lfespan of other consoles (xbox360,ps1) might be reason why 2 year guarantee is not required (on consoles in general).
When you send out a review code for a game it should be the correct version, otherwise it's just bad (time) management.
Though since it's game with so much riding on it for Sony, sending a second review code is not that bad a thing.
Esspecially since the guy now got another reason to play Killzone a second time.
But if it was some crap game it would feel sorry for him if his boss made him review the game again.
Would be interesting to see how many online players are online on the xbox 360 and ps3 at this moment. And not only created an account
Killzone 2 will be the biggest release for sony yet to come. Ofcourse they are not scared, though wise enough to consider the fact that Killzone 2 will become a big hit, which will have a (big) impact on their sale numbers for that period. Think they will and need to do extra markting for their console and games releasing in that time-frame, if not only to loose the momentum of their price cut.
Remember reading article yesterday or 2 days ago about a demo 3d game running on both xbox360 and ps3.
In which they did mentioned that it would ad substantial costs for development, another issue was that 3d games will need to support 3D from the start. (not allowing old/already excisting games to be made 3d compatible)
Given that developers who saw the demo where enthousiastic and considering it would propably take about 3 years before the game would be finished. ...
Visual superiority isn't something which needs to be pursued to sell more consoles.
Powerfull machines equil good graphics though mostly hardcore gamers care about that.
Microsoft needs to do is the same as Sony did in previous generations against more powerfull machines, n64, dreamcast, xbox.
With a shift to the general public microsoft can sell more consoles, this is something which does not require microsoft to focus on graphical superiority
