Isn't on my list as a must have but if I have enough money left I might buy this one. So far the sounds I have been hearing are pretty good.
Also have some doubt because I haven't seen much of these games, hope they will be coming in 2009 they should have had enough of development time by now.
In the end it might be good thing because I hate the hype around big games which usually only leads to long waiting times.
But it's another question looking at confirmed 2009 xbox360 exclusive, which is very weak at the moment.
But I do think feel that titles like Alan wake and splintercell, haven't been hyped as much as high profile ps3 titles(god of war, heavy rain, infamous Killzone and uncharted).
To level the playing field with ps3, Microsoft will need to announce at least 2 new triple AAA (not timed) exclusive games for 2009 preferably mass effect 2 and a new unannounced game.
would be cool, but somehow feel little doubtfull it will be a ps3 slim. Since the ps3 is already pretty packed as it is. Maybe a redesigned controller.

shame the multiplayer demo was bad... really bad.
Was hoping a single player demo could convince me to buy this game.
The section 8 page doesn't mention any specific consoles so in my book it's still a multiplatform title.

Also about the beta, seems like the beta is (for the moment) only for the pc.
Business and rumor wise it makes sense, especially looking at their last purchase (some company specialized in motion control with the help of camera's forgot the name),so they have all the patents for this new input device.
Theoretically this would lengthen the life span of their xbox 360 console.
I do consider motion control and the audio more something for kids. But when thinking about it one word RTS and one game tom clany end war 2 just made me reconsider this.

But still that is a very long time, considering myself as someone who would buy a "new next generation console".
I wouldn't like to wait that long, technology keeps advancing at a very rapid speed. That said I would like to see a new next generation console in 2011 and at the latest 2012.
Despite I do agree what patcher says that they might splinter their audience. I believe Microsoft knows that very well and therefore is and will be aiming the xbox360 more...
Microsoft won't push for a new console before 2010, unless they expect that all their xbox 360 will die in 2010. Only new console that will be launched in 2010 will be a slim xbox 360.
True's a lame demo anyways
The multiplayer demo sucks, played it for about 10 minutes, maybe acquired taste so might play it some more.
The weapons in the demo sucks don't like the feel and sound of them.
Swinging mechanic doesn't work very well for me in the demo.
Graphics suck, although in the intro the graphics of the story seem to look nice.
Find it strange that it mentions halo, I do agree that halo 2 and are very similar to the first one but what do you expect from a franchise.
It might not been the very first with everything it did but it was one of the first that delivered everything in a good package (not considering pc's of course).
live matchmaking, vehicles, auto health etc.
Might be throwing fuel on the flames, but why not mention killzone or any other shooter.
Didn't expect anything from their press conference, hope they will have something interesting to announce in june at the e3.
Microsoft still got a lot of areas to improve on there are already a lot of good games comming out for the xbox 360 even though they are not exclusive.
A even lower priced xbox 360 slim, (with no hardware problems) could be the biggest thing for microsoft to do Nintendo already proved a console doesn't need much games to sell good.
These kind of articles could be usefull for people wo don't own either console.
But I don't think alot of people here don't own either the xbox 360 or ps3.
Whatever the case if you got the money and spare time to play a lot of games buy both.

Don't disagree with you, that games are more important than sales.
But don't forget that the sales of a console may affect the titles coming or not comming to the console exclusive or not exclusive.
reduce the xbox live gold fee and sell the vip for the same price as the gold fee then we will talk
the rumor was about 2 possible hardware designs at the e3, one being the redesign of the sony psp and the other being unknown leading to the speculation of a ps3 slim.
Rumor could still hold some truth if there is another hardware design of a sony product.
