Thought they said they would include it with future xbox360's, if that's the case it isn't just a gimmick but an expansion of the platform. Possibly allowing for greater interaction with games. Third parties might end up supporting the normal controller options with added nadal functionality.

Sony has some great games coming up which could easily could account for 3 million extra consoles sold.

With a price cut and great games couldn't sony expect to sell more consoles for their fiscal year.
All coments from sony have been pointing to no price drop so isn't it logical they would follow this trend for their short term planning.
If a slim version will be cheaper sony should definitly do this, though sifting to a new production model isn't that easy and does have some costs involved with this.
Since I already own a ps3 I don't really care about as slim version but if it could expand the market for sony and help them financially I will definitly welcome it.

If you would believe history the first console to sell 10 million consoles will be the winner. Microsoft has done rather well the last couple of years nobody would ever have predicted they would do so well, their first console was but ugly their second is/was very breakable.
Thought alan wake looked good for as far I could see, hard to just without a hd video.
Concerning Halo odst it looked better than halo 3, concidering it's downloadable content using the same game engine that aint bad. But I would love to see more game play since I expected this to be very different compared to halo3(more tactical or whatever).
