Strange would expect that sony whould also have its own aisle esspecially in Japan. Though marketing wise definitly clear indication how to do it and how not to do it. Sony needs to step it's marketing game up big time.
At the bare minimum their consoles should be on the top shelves where most high end premium products are placed (basic marketing)
So no mgs4 for the psp....
Let's hope this won't become a trend.
It would suck if small game developers start shutting down because of bad reviews.
This is one game that doens't need marketing to sell lots. 2009 already seems dar away.
Out with the old in with the new, surely Microsoft should have proven by now that they are willing to do almost everything to get good software on their systems. But I don't care that much about the closure of ensemble it's not like the Ip's will dissapear with ensemble alltogether. Just hoping the tried and tested Ip's will end up in good hands same for halo war it's not like it's gone be the first and last halo wars
That would be a good move, though I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Defenitly thinking that microsoft its strategy has been better than the strategy of sony, though they did succeed in elimnating hd-dvd as competition.
What Sony should be doing is working towards a hefty price cut and more marketing with their titles. There still is sufcient time to catch up to microsoft.
Microsoft should focus on this holiday season and afterwards anounce some new exclusive titles. Also a xbox360 slim would be nice.
Think they could better spend the money on a price cut. Though they could use more marketing effort.
After seeing the trailer I might want to see the movie if the reviews won't suck too badly.
At least it doesn't look cheap
Agree, Why only gears of war 3 makes more sence if gears of war 1 came to the ps3 than 2 and then 3.
Or here is a thought gears of war 3 with cross platform play allowing ps3 players to go online against xbox 360 players!!!!
Wishfull thinking though will most likely not happen.
Strange numbers they don't correspondent with numbers of Dutch sales I have seen before. Esspecially Grand Theft Auto 4 (PC) version on the number 2 spot, must be recent numbers.
Used to switching disks since final fantasy 7 blablabla, so no big deal there. Though I do agree dvd is showing its age but bigger doesn't always means better.
People seem to forget that even though the hardware specs are growing rapidly, so are the costs of developing games. Developers are already struggling make huge games like killzone 2. Only a few developers are capable of building such games exclusively.
I hope the industry will be able to keep up though if they are...
Ofcourse sony would allow and even want microsoft to use bluy ray but it would cost them.
It seems obvious microsoft wouldn't want to pay that and is more likely to use another medium Hd-Dvd, which still is cheaper than blu ray.
Apparantly there are more people who would buy tomb raider on the ps3 than on the xbox360. This does say something about the owners of the ps3 owners.
1First of they are hard core gamers and buy a lot of games including tomb raider
2 They prefered tomb raider over AAA games like little big planet, due to brand loyalty, most likely played previous tomb raider incarnations on a playstation console.
3 The demo released on the xbox360 deterred a lot of buyers on the xbox360 side...
If you told me a year ago Microsoft would sell more than 10.000 units, I wouldn't believe you. They are propably selling more 360 in the past week than in their whole first year in Japan.
love the bluy ray but can'help thinking "what if they didn't included the bluy ray."
It is a rumour no official statement has been made. Though it seems very likely to be true.
Also if true, the price drop may come sooner than expected since a rumour like this will most likely hurt the sales of sony.
Forcing them on a earlier price drop than in march.
A call from a 32-year old man claiming that his house's power went out after updating. lol
Why hoping it will fail. I won't buy it but I know there are people out there who enjoy these titles
Not that bad of a list, though I am sure some more announcemnets will follow next year.
Though missing some games like rage, Huxley, Kingdom under fire, watchmen, I am alive, Sin city, ninety nine nights and then some more i guess, wondering what happend with elveon. (uk)
Already know that there will be too many good games to buy them all. Will be a good year for gamers
