If anything, I’d want a survival game with the daughter at the center, a true reimagining of a Lara Croft-Edwin character.
I’d want minimal shooting, and for it to be closer to PUBG difficulty, or bow and arrow stuff.
I don’t want them to try to top Uncharted’s action this decade. I’d rather be blindsided by a giant leap in tech for the franchise.
Also, I’m eager to see that fantasy concept art developed into an actual game 🤞

They should at least patch the most popular existing games, or commission remakes from those devs. You need games for any hardware, otherwise it might as well be a calculator.

Franchises do have brand recognition, but that is a two way street: any franchise is vulnerable to eroding their brand equity with a bad streak of mistakes.
Star Wars wasn’t a guaranteed win recently, and CoD sales did dip once the quality dipped 2 years in a row. That’s why IW threw money at the problem by getting their OG devs back for MW1. CoD would be closer to BF right now if MW1 flopped instead of soared…

They’ve both done it for a long time. I would’ve blame either entity more for the strategy.
Because most of my friends don’t believe they can enjoy Madden and CoD on a Sony console.
Also, M$ won them over with game pass and an admittedly smart EA games discount baked in. I play other games besides CoD, Madden, and AC, so my expectations for game releases are…. higher.
I proudly owned an Xbox instead of a ps2, but I stopped having faith once they allowed Bungie to dissolve.
