That end boss fight was NOT perfect.
I’m looking forward to Amazon making a God of War game just covering the Norse phase, and completely ignoring the Greek phase; all because they have no idea what they are doing with the IP.
The Norse phase falls flat IMO if you don’t appreciate who Kratos WAS versus who he IS becoming.
I would prefer a Killzone game from the Earth perspective, just because I think the slow realization that the protagonists are actually antagonists is great… idk if it would have the same impact vice versa.
GP is great for indie exposure, and a great backup plan for AAA games that get overlooked by the market unfairly, suck as Guardians of the Galaxy.
With this said, I don’t need $15/month GP for AAA’s, or for indies really either.

I avoid movie trailers like the plague. I didn’t watch a single trailer for Inception, and I’m grateful to this day for that decision.
If I see any details, my brain remembers the images (such as the colors and setting), and then I anticipate stuff happening as I watch it in theaters.

M$ has been pitching this deal to Sony like a used car salesman.
They mucked up when they started negotiations with only 3 years of CoD multi platform support, and one of those years CoD was taking its first annual break as a franchise in over a decade; and, the first CoD to be Xbox exclusive would be IW’s new entry.
What a shit deal. That insulted somebody’s intelligence at Sony, and M$ hasn’t owned up to that yet.

It only works if you get enough subs to pay off the content being offered.
And, as subs increase, M$ has to hope that devs don’t ask for more money in order to compensate for the related increase in cannibalization of standard game sales that GP releases inevitably cause.
Until their stable kicks into gear, M$ has to lose money to buy content all the time. And even then, they’ll need alotta subs to support their huge stable at $15/month per sub.

Your first offer to Sony was 3 years of mutual releases for CoD, but one of those years would be the first year CoD took a year off since OG MW…. And, anybody paying attention knows that IW, the best CoD dev, would be scheduled to release a game the same year Xbox’s exclusivity started.
