until someone releases a game that has lots of upskirt shots of schoolgirls and tentacle rape.
you don't even need drivers. I hooked mine up to my laptop and it knew instantly what it was. I don't have any software for decoding HD-DVD's though so I couldn't watch any. I also read about some guys who disassembled one and mounted the unit into a tower PC and got it working before Toshiba officially released their unit for PC.
was the XBox cpu a Celeron?? When I bought mine, all the specs that I read stated that it was a Pentium 3.
I still think upscaling DVD players are going to win, at least in the near term. They are only a few dollars more than a non-scaling player, and the results aren't as bad as you would think. My brother has one, and when you are sitting at normal viewing distance, the differences between the upscaled DVD and the HD discs aren't that noticeable. The HD player does look better the closer you get to the screen. The HD DVD player and 360 upscale regular DVD's too, so even if both HD formats die ou...
they made this game for GC to begin with. Your killer app for your new system is supposed to make people buy the new system if they want to play it, not encourage people to keep their old system going longer. I noticed at the local Gamestop and Best Buy near me that their Gamecube sections have nearly disappeared. I would think if there is little retail support for GC anymore, that they would pull it before it ended up costing them too much money.
You can still get it on regular DVD and the HD-DVD player will upscale it. Upscaled DVD isn't quite as good, but the majority of people won't see much difference.

Dell is selling the XBox 360 HD-DVD player in it's online store!!!! They are also selling 360 consoles, games and accessories.
So HD-DVD is already the standard for HD movies. Give up Blu Ray. You lost.
HP is now selling computers with HD-DVD players in them. So much for Blu-Ray dominating the PC market.
And wasn't Thomson supposed to be a Blu- Ray supporter, too?? I guess they jumped ship as well. Expect more defections from the Sony camp in the near future.
are also on board with HD-DVD and HP jumped ship to HD DVD a couple of weeks ago and will be releasing PC's with HD-DVD players in them. Try to keep up, DJ.

They are no more accurate in their figures than nexgenwars.
What happens is, someone with less than 10 feedbacks usually wins and this person is typically the same person that is listing the raffle or one of his friends. It is like the coin sales that promise that every so many packages will contain a gold coin, but when you look at their past feedback, the person who gives feedback that they received a gold coin is always a new user or someone with very little feedback. Don't be conned by these things.
isn't as big as you think if you are sitting at normal tv viewing distance. Unless you have a really large screen and sit right up close, you probably won't notice a huge difference between the two. 720p is going to be good enough for most people and the tv's are cheaper.
I've been looking for a good EQ replacement. I've been playing WoW, but too many people play WoW. I want to play something a little more unique.
are still better.
Best gaming news I've heard in 2 years.
Components have changed since the original release of the 360 and are about to change again when they introduce their new 65nm fab process. There is also a rumor that MS may be refurbishing units sent in for defective exchange and repackaging them as new. Someone on the xbox.com forums has already complained of trying to register a console new out of the box and getting an error message saying the serial number had already been registered. A lot of people are also reporting buying 360's recen...
There will always be a need for retail channels for electronics and content. People will always want to try out a machine before they buy it, so you need retail displays in stores and there are many who still don't trust putting their credit card info online and will only buy from a local retailer. Any console maker who tries selling their machines and games through online channels only, will end up losing big.
Go to the forums on XBox.com and you'll see all sorts of threads about rudeness from customer service people. One person was even accused of being a racist because he couldn't understand what the customer service person was saying with his heavy accent. Since most people who own 360's are in USA or UK, they should have their customer service in one of those countries. Where is their support center for the Japanese, I wonder?? Or the French or the Germans?? I doubt they many people in Banglade...
but it's still popular over there. They have a thing for giant battle 'bots, so they'll buy it anyway.
