tbh both consoles dont really seem worth purchasing to me at this moment. I feel even Sony's lineup is pretty weak. a remake, spiderman 1.5 and returnal now. Great games in their own right, but thats not what I was expecting 6 months into next gen, especially not from Sony.

@neutral its probably because Sony has some common sense, EA and Acti dont and will just label this price hike as "surprise mechanic" while purchasing. because who doesnt want a nice surprise while whipping out your credit card?

@Rbeasley123 exactly, just because a game is great doesnt mean it must suddenly get an out of proportion price. in hindsight i would have probably paid 70 bucks for Hades if I knew before hand I would like it as much as I do. I prefer the 20 dollar tag though.
its similar with most products i buy, if its a good product i gladly shell out a bit of extra cash. but when I need to pay 500 just for a brand name like apple on my machine ill pass.
@eon it never says it the first 70 game, its about thats its supposed to be the 1st game that "truly tests" if games are worth 70 bucks or whatever that means. @sonic fun gameplay is subjective u know, its not when you think its fun gameplay that all of a sudden there is now a standard set for fun gameplay.

I havent played returnal but what is the big deal about no save points? a LOT of roguelikes dont have saves for while you are in your run and all of a sudden its a big problem now? If the average run takes like 5 hours or something i can understand the uproar, but i cant tell if thats the case.
