I almost did the same thing. I saw it before the Deluxe Edition came out, but noticed it was all in Japanese. I decided to wait for a 'hopeful' US release. Shortly after, the Deluxe Edition was announced and I pre-ordered it immediately. When the game came out, there were only 2 people who pre-ordered it at that particular gamestop. ONLY 2 PEOPLE! Honestly, I wouldn't expect it to work on the PS5. It's a different save structure on the PS5, I'm pretty sure. Yes, the save could be stored on the cloud, but the formatting is probably completely different. If a single game was able to bring it's ps4 save data to PS5 and actually work, I would be very impressed.
The big differences I could see coming for this new gen, is better lighting, reduction of input lag( more responsive ), the detail of textures greatly increased, draw distance (less fog) greatly increased. I don't know if games will be able to get 120fps with increased graphical quality, but 60fps should be doable for most games until we reach the midpoint of the lifecycle of the console. At that point, I think we will start to see better looking games at the cost of framerate. I hope we ...
Is this really that complicated? The name of these consoles suck, but it's pretty easy to understand that one is cheaper (all digital) and and one is more expensive (with disc drive and better hardware). And they add a monthly payment option if you can't afford it up front. Is this really new? Have we never seen a 'payment plan' before?

Avengers on the other hand, I got bored within the first few hours. I lost immersion pretty much the moment I saw that better equipment only bumps up numbers and the hulk dodges instantly, rather a slow roll or something like that. It's just not for me I guess.
Lords of the Fallen wasn't a bad game, but for me, it just had WAYYY too many bugs. I fell through the floor several times. The first boss got stuck in an animation and I couldn't damage him. The way points didn't work at times and I had weapons just disappear forever. I got stuck in the level geometry a few times and couldn't move, forcing me to start at the previous way point. Maybe I was cursed, idk haha.

WRC 8 was fantastic, but definitely needed some graphical optimization. It uses a huge amount of resources to get the game running at the highest settings. If they want to shoot for 60fps at 4K resolution, I really hope they worked hard on the optimization front. It's a fantastic goal to have, but I don't think it's going to come easy.

This game looks great on the switch, runs at 60 fps and has a ton of content. However, this is a game that was initially released on the PS3 back in 2008. It's come a long way, but man $50 USD is a tough sell man. It's $20 on steam (on sale for $5 right now) and free if you have EA access (basic). That's a $30 markup because it's on the switch.
