The game has gotten better, but I've noticed that if I'm traveling on a horse across long distances, the game starts to lag quite a bit for a second or two and then all the textured pop in. It's pretty annoying when I can't fast travel. So...it's gotten better, but issues are still there. I've recently jumped over to the pc version and never looked back.
Btw, I had that lag occur about a week ago from today.
A great doesn't have to be big. Often times, a game that's very large means that the devs took their time to make a big game, but didn't have enough time to fill it up.
In this case though, I think R* will make sure the world is filled to the brim with all kinds of things to ensure that you don't feel it should have been smaller.
If any company can pull it off, it's R* for sure.
It's great for the game companies sure, but times are hard on a lot of people. Used games/borrowed games not only save you from buyers remorse, but can save quite a bit of money for the things that you really need. Of course, if you're needing money that bad, buying games probably wasn't the best choice....
Did they already fix the bug, that if you swim underwater, the game crashes? That was absolutely horrible. I'm of course mentioning the PS3 version.
I haven't agreed with EA on a lot of their decisions, however, I do feel for all the artists and programmers and level designers etc.

I'm not going to buy it. I'm not going to play it. Wanna know why? Because they lied to us PS3 owners. They said the PS3 version was just as good as the other two..and it clearly wasn't. If they were just upfront about the whole situation, then I would completely understand, but they weren't.

Breaking Immersion:
I kind of feel the same way as this guy. For some games, the trophies feel meaningless. A ton of games give you trophies just for playing through the story. That does a few things which I don't feel are good for the game itself.
One, it lets you know(somewhat) how far along you are. Sure, you get an estimation, but isn't that kinda ruining the whole point of a story, to simply enjoy it no matter the length?

First off, why the hell am I going to listen to a state senator who makes probably 90X what I make and does absolutely nothing the whole year? Second, why does this guy even care? There has to be some sort of motivation behind his comments.
Most likely, it may have a few downloaded things, but it sounds to me like almost all of it is on the disc. At least the core stuff. The only things I see that could really be true dlc that you'd have to download is the infinite ferrystones, the 100,000 rift crystals, and the Gransys armor pack.
I think what I'm going to do is trade in DD and use that money to get the new version. The reason being is that the game is still high priced at the store so I'll likely get $15-$20 for it which is taking half the price off the newer version being released in a few months. I think that's pretty much worth it.
Not to mention...once the newer one comes out with all the dlc and stuff, there's really no point in holding on to the original unless you have some type...
It really does. It's a huge mashup of different games into this one adventure haha. Looks pretty awesome. But actually, they all look really great and they should all be proud of the quality of their games. I'm sharing this to everyone I know. These indie devs deserve some donations man.
I understand where your coming from man. I played FarCry 2 and hated it. Malaria was probably the most annoying feature in a game ever and the game was extremely repetitive. There was no fast travel. Nuff said. lol
But I've been playing FarCry 3 and it's just been an epic adventure. Everything has been improved upon and is really a ton of fun. Multiplayer is fun, but needs a little bit of tweaking to get it perfect. Coop is a blast if you have friends that play it. ...

That's what I would be worried about as well with an "easy" mode. If they can achieve everything that players on the normal difficulty can, and can compete with them in pvp, then it's totally unfair to the normal difficulty players. And if they force an easy mode on all players, then the hardcore players aren't going to enjoy the game at all.

I've heard of devs say they promise some feature, but didn't have time to include it in the game in the finished state, but never a developer blatantly lying about their game and banning players for no apparent reason. I got my popcorn and ready for more info! XD
I always enjoyed the fact that purchasing a sports muffler, or overhauling the engine in GT5 would just make your car sound like a beast.
Granted, the sounds could have been better, but PD definitely worked on the car sounds after its release. Anyone else notice the standard cars looking better and better? I know it still sucks that the in car camera showing the interior is black, but at least they worked at making the exteriors look sharper.
