They're ruining the game industry man! Loot boxes are one thing, but when the entire game is based on luck of getting what you want/need from lootboxes, that's taking it way too far.
A Nintendo 3DS XL is $150 (USD) right now, just saying.
In my opinion, if Sony does what they did with the PS4, they'll continue to lead. The most powerful console does not mean an instant victory. Look how long it took the PS3 to catch up to the XB360 due to the architectural complexity of the console. Personally, it's the games that make the difference and Sony had some of the best. The Xbox One didnt have many exclusives and the ones they did have weren't any I was really interested in.
However Microsoft is also m...
Square is very passionate about this project and want to be as good as it possible can be. I'm confident they'll do the original game justice and improve upon every aspect. I'm going to miss the classic combat, but different isn't always a bad thing.
The original Final Fantasy VII =P
It's a great collection, but what would have made it must buy was the addition of online multiplayer. Local co-op is cool and has an authentic feel, but online multiplayer would have allowed me to play with my childhood friends who I used to play these games with when I was a kid.
People keep downvoting because people dont want to buy until it's completely done, but this is not a small game. It's a very very large game and has taken Square ike 8 years to get this far with the remake. Even if it takes them 3 years per release to finish the game, that might be 6 or 9 years depending on the # of releases required. It's certainly more logical to wait until its finished so you, at the very least dont forget what happened in the story or how game mechanics work. ...
Hmm, unlike yourself, I actually have self control and dont dictate my purchases through impulse. People who pre-order should learn to do the same.
Wow... just wow. There are some things you keep to yourself. Not liking people's faces is one of them. Didnt your mother teach something called manners?
And by the way, Reeves is awesome.
Clickbait buddy. Or, they dont actually know what good games are.
I'm fine with them breaking the game up due to the sheer size of the game, but what I'm most worried is about, is development during the end lifecycle of one console and the beginning of another. This is going to complicate things significantly and I hope they are prepared.
Personally, I'm not buying them until its finished 100%. I'm still enjoying the original on my ps1.
This looks like a tech demo level. The UI is very minimal, the enemies take like one hit to kill, and theres an extreme level of audio detail. We all know it's going to be much different when we actually get to play it. We'll lose that audio quality, the UI will be clutter the screen, and the enemies are going to take 50 hits to increase the length of the game.
I hope they put out a good game, but graphics != fun gameplay and that's basically what we saw here.
Personally, I think all money tournaments should have a qualification stage and only those qualified can play. They can have as many rounds as they want but this stage would eliminate cheaters.
Cheaters can cheat on console as well, just fyi.
I'm a little confused here as well. Why would they have a tournament with people not actually taking part in the tournament? When you dont plan this stuff out and throw in random people, things like this are going to happen. The people who set this up are just as guilty for allowing the possibility of aimbots and other hacks. Could they not get a full match of players to take part?
It's cool to read these stories. When I first caught a glimpse of Demons Souls before it was ported, I knew it was something special. When I was playing it, the community was really small, but very dedicated to helping each other because the game systems like World Tendency, invasions, and help through messages were all new to us. It felt like it was David vs Goliath, but people were there to help. It was just a really cool experience.
I'm somewhat biased because I started at the beginning of the souls series. I was one of those who picked up the deluxe edition of Demons Souls, knowing just how good it was going to be. I nearly picked up a Japanese import(very happy I didnt) before the deluxe edition was announced. Below is my ranking for the souls series.
1. Demon's Souls
2. Dark Souls
3. Bloodborne
4. Sekiro
5. Dark Souls 3
6. Dark Souls 2

That's some pretty interesting information, thanks for sharing! I had no idea.
The game sucks. Move on people. Nothing more to see here.
For the most part, I agree with 'Gideon the lesser hunter'. The game is simply too easy for veteran hunters. I enjoyed some of the events that certainly ramped up the difficulty, but the base game was a breeze. I'm not saying I didn't love the game, because I do. They made a lot of really great changes, but I too feel like the commitment of your actions are no longer a game-play mechanic like it used to be. I also feel like creating and upgrading weapons/armor, while cool does...
