Maybe HD-DVD died out too early. It's a shame all the BR adopters have to deal with increased prices. The people who are buying new players have to deal with increased prices as well. The only decent player is a PS3, how are the people who make stand alone players getting along? It seems as if it's a Sony format that Sony is benefitting from. I'd be jazzed up if I were a 3rd party company.

It's locked up a couple of times on my 360. So it's not exclusively related to the PS3.
Having never played it, the screenies do make it look like Geometry Wars, is there a special difference between the two? Perhaps when I pick up a PS3 (some point next year, maybe christmas) I will pick this one up.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news and a nit-picker. But that run on sentence doesn't make you look too bright either.
As it stands I'm sure the DLC will be worth it. I honestly don't believe 50 million was spent just to spend it.
I'm commenting more on the hypocrisy of this site. Digital downloads BTW are not bad. I think Apple has proved it with music and video.
Just a few DAYS ago people were bashing digital downloads...now it's ok, because it's Sony. I'm sorry, Sony's foresightedness has delivered a ton of losers as well. Just because Sony came out on top with Blu-Ray doesn't mean they have had all aces. How soon people forget the past.
I'm just curious as to what happened to digital downloads as being bad? It seems to me a bunch of negativity was put out there about digital distribution when it was just Microsoft. There were comments saying the quality isn't there becuase it's downloaded...etc...etc...

By the time the PS3 begins to gain a foothold...the next Xbox will be out, MS will always be ahead of the curve by releasing early this generation. I thought it was crazy at first but that extra time sure makes a difference, and now I'm beginning to realize that it wasn't for only this generation it was for future gens as well.

MS paid 50 million for exclusive content. That is a hell of a game design budget. I somehow doubt it's going to be just a few extra missions, characters, and vehicles.
Was it 50 million they paid? That's a pretty big game design budget for a company. I think it's going to be a bit more than some extra missions and vehicles. Those are everyday downloads now. I think certain console owners are getting a bit nervous.
You know, I never even thought of having an optional install. It would do wonders for Oblivion and Mass Effect. Perhaps they could patch these games...at least Mass Effect, that would make the game playable for me. As it stands the pop-in and the stutter kills the experience for me. Obviously the reviews of the game were about the game itself, not the technical issues, or it would have never scored that high. IMOPO.
Seriously do yourself a favor and spend the extra 60 bones to buy a 20gig hard drive.
While I tend to agree with nothing being perfect. It's presumptuous to say that about a game that you've never played. From the sounds of this review and all the previews, this game quite possibly could be.

Nah...It's not going to happen. I'm a big 360 supporter. I've understood most of their tactics and haven't been upset at any of them. This one however would piss me off. I can't for the life of me see this happening. It would alienate a huge install base...MS isn't that out of touch with the 360 are they?
