That's pretty much how I felt. They really had a hard on for casual games this year, involving pretty much nothing but ripped off concepts of things that didn't interest me the first time around. Resident Evil 5 and Gears 2 were the real high points (loved that new Gears "Rendezvous" trailer), but people are only talking about the megaton bomb of FFXIII going multiplat, as is expected considering the magnitude of such an announcement.

Underwhelming indeed. Microsoft unveiled their "attack of the clones" strategy today. Copying pretty much every idea they haven't already attempted to rip off. Well it came with my 80gig. It's fun enough to warrant some of my DLC purchases for it, but I doubt I would have bought the game if it hadn't come with my PS3. Motorstorm 2 looks a lot better.
I'm incredibly staunch anti-PS2 Greatest Hits case, but these don't seem as bad. I hope they don't add the red to the discs like they do with the PS2 titles.

I fail to see what's so wrong about that statement as well. It's been bothering me since 2.40 originally launched, finding out shortly after that one game supports it, and that the closest thing to a patch date for a 2nd title's support is "coming soon". The "coming soon" list also happens to be pretty sad and small.

That's the 800lb gorilla in the room. There hasn't been a single word regarding MGS4 trophies since 2.40 was released. Arguably the biggest PS3 title of the year, you'd think they would have said something by now.
The big three conferences are the most important segments, so I'm glad they worked that out. Last year the commercials killed part of Microsoft's press event, cutting out right at the start of the new Halo 3 trailer.

M16 with Stopping Power is usually a one shot kill if all 3 bullets hit, that's why it's cheap.
