I liked Gears 2 as well, but I'm just more of a horror fan, and with the horror gaming genre more or less on its last legs, Dead Space was a real treat. It also tackled space horror in a really great way, something I don't think I've ever experienced.
lol @ that calendar.
The Club? Dark Sector? Fracture? Shoulda just named this one "Best Gears of War Game 2008". Had a lot more fun with Dead Space, personally.
Well no one ever accused Christians of being good with facts.
Another day, another Blu-Ray is dying/dead story on N4G.
Before Fallout 3 came out, I didn't give a crap about it, and actually started feeling negative towards it after watching the E3 presentation. After launch, a couple friends said it was great, so I borrowed it from one of them. First few hours I didn't like it, but I kept playing and somewhere between fighting a Super Mutant Behemoth with the Brotherhood of Steel, a myriad of random occurrences, and Tranquility Lane, I really started enjoying this game.
Unfortunately my PS3 bro...
I can't believe VGChartz is still allowed to be posted here. Not only are they consistently wrong, but their site is full of malware.
@AAACE5 - Well I think the PS2 is still the home to the best current JRPG's. Persona 4 is better than every other 2008 JRPG rolled into one big ass turn-based, androgynous-looking ball.
Oddly enough, my 80gig stopped working last night in the middle of Fallout 3. I've had it for 3 days shy of 1 year. My launch PS2 broke exactly 1 year to the day after purchase, but that was a lot more widespread than PS3 issues. Damn near everyone I know had a broken PS2 in the early years. I'm the only one I know with a broken PS3.
I love Penny Arcade, and I loved their first game. Really wanted to buy this, but with $17 in my PSN wallet, and my real life wallet rapidly growing thinner thanks to the holidays, I think I'm gonna have to put it on the back burner for a bit. The MGS4 LBP packs have put my money in a trance.
Okami is among my top 10 favorite games of all time, and I'd kill for a sequel, but I absolutely do not want one if it's not going to be done by the original team.
I read about this a few weeks ago on some forums... a day after I had changed my password twice. Never had trophy issues myself, and I'm approaching 400 of them.
Wouldn't exactly call these the first details, since it was an EGM cover story awhile back, but I'm interested to see how it turns out anyways.
I'm tired of hearing that played out "it's a beta" excuse to cover up the current failings. It was in beta for over a year. It's pretty much only beta in name right now.
Pissed about losing my echochrome and Icebreaker stuff, not gonna bother getting it back now that I know it can be stripped from you at any time.
Don't have a mic, but it sucks for all the other chatters. What next? In-game keypad removed? Communicate by dancing at eachother?
Yeah, no kidding. The shovelware express has been dropping nuggets of flop since launch. First party gems are there, but they're few and far between. Most 3rd parties are just trying to cash-in with as little effort as possible.
Whoa, Screaming Mantis sack. Really want that.
Beautiful Katamari, Gears, Gears 2, and Left 4 Dead (though I might just get that for PC).
BioShock used to be at the top of my list of 360 games I wanted for my PS3.
Metal Gear Logitech confirmed.
If it's VGChartz then I agree it's bull. I just remember skimming through articles around here and seeing one about LBP selling 1 mil. That trojan-filled site couldn't get numbers correct if their lives depended on it.
Not surprised about Valkyria. I hadn't even heard of it until a friend bought it a couple weeks after it came out.
Hasn't LBP already sold over a million? Didn't realize million sellers count as flops.
