Damn, this still isn't out in Europe? A European PS3 friend I play with often bought this from the American store the day it came out. Good reason to have accounts in multiple regions.
It won't. Nothing is advertised as much as Halo, not even most products outside of the gaming world. In all seriousness, I'd bet the Halo 3 ad bankroll was bigger than the dev bankroll. Throw that much ad money at a half-eaten sandwich and you'd have midnight launches full of people lined up to take a bite.
I remember that, hilarious. No matter what you think of the 360, good or bad, it's not the best console of all time. PS2 and SNES are leaps and bounds better than any console of this generation.
That looks absolutely horrible, though in all fairness I'm sure they would have made it look much better had they intended on people playing the game through a 3rd person camera angle.
As long as Sony makes the hardware, sure.
Where did I say I didn't know? I heard it at Microsoft's E3 presentation like everyone else, but I'm not gonna go out and spend $300 on a new console so I can play the extended version of one game, no matter how much I like it.
I hate it when a multiplat title is fragmented for the sake of corporate competition. A large chunk of fans always lose.
Completely agreed. I'm against all exclusive DLC, aside from pointless crap like skins. It's a huge slap in the face to those who own the platform that gets shafted. It essentially puts a value on your fanbase, making one group appear more important than the other.
So did millions of others who didn't kill any babies.
Wii doesn't need one. Non-gamers gobble that crap up just fine the way it is. Hell, they could probably raise the price $50 and stay steady with sales.
Well I'm glad somebody wants to actually ask that question publicly, instead of MTV Multiplayer wasting everyone's time with questions like; "Doesn't V.A.T.S. get boring when you can head shot everyone?". Though you'd be a fool to expect quality from anything associated with MTV in the first place.
Really pissed off about the DLC situation with this game.
No mention of an entire platform of users being left out in the cold with our d*cks in our hands eh? I love this game, I absolutely hate Bethesda for taking the exclusive ass-raping moneybags path on DLC. Unlike the GTAIV stuff, I actually really want this DLC.
...and yes, not being able to play after the ending was a horrible decision.
I'm working on my plat right now too. Need the one for 300 humans killed, 100 locations found, and 20 Bobbleheads. I figure I'll get the first 2 just by working on the 3rd.
IGN's been my only trusted review source for many years.
Downloaded this a couple months ago, and was really disappointed. Doesn't hold a candle to the soundtracks of 2 and 3, though the same can also be said about the game itself.
I think this was my biggest gaming disappointment of 2008, since I was actually really hoping it would turn out well, unlike some of the other horrible titles released last year.
Pretty dull. I recommend the Fear 2 demo though, it's pretty good. Scary, long, cool mech at the end.
Compared to what? The Wii?
OPM isn't owned by "ps", or Sony for that matter.
I'm waiting for the IGN review as well, but I can't believe people actually visit GameTrailers for their journalism-scented droppings. The videos are the only reason to ever type their URL into your browser.
Can't wait. Haven't been this excited for a game in a very, very long time. Getting into the beta just made me crave it more, after finding out first-hand that it's a really solid and fun game.
I remember Maxim reviewed Haze more than 6 months before it came out. Think they gave it a 4/5 too. After that, I questioned whether or not they even played the games before "reviewing" them.
That's the first thing I thought. The first one was terrible. I guess it must be really popular in Japan for them to invest so much into this title's future.
