I've seen tons of Gears 2 ads, and they're all based on the great trailers we've seen this year. Sony's advertising has left a phenomenal title like LittleBigPlanet in the gutter with under 1 mil sales weeks after launch (unless it's crossed that line in the past few days).
Really does piss me off when the greats sell like crap because of horrible marketing. The people who created those games should be very angry, as they deserve the huge paychecks way more than the people who ...
Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind selling them for $20 each?

The official PSU is PlayStation Underground. This NDA-breaking, PSU knockoff is PlayStation Universe, and has nothing to do with Sony.
I personally don't care, seeing as how I can play the beta myself whenever I want, but if you're lucky enough to get in with the rest of us, be so kind as to follow the NDA you agree to when you download it.
PSU really doesn't give a flying f@$% about the NDA huh? They've been reported several times on the beta forums.
If there's any game that deserves tons of advertising, it's this one. Instead what do we get? 2 different commercials (1 from GameStop) that rarely run, and are infinitely worse than all of the great trailers we've seen this year. Really grinds my gears how they squander opportunities like this for such a phenomenal title because of their mind-boggling take on PR and advertising.
Yeah, duffel bags with $800 worth of stuff given to reviewers are bribes.
Gun skins and early unlocks for games aren't bribes, just incentive to pre-order. I would prefer GameStop lose their stranglehold on this concept though, since I'm not a fan of theirs, to put it lightly.
That's pretty sad that you're not only in favor of, but eagerly anticipating the day when you can completely throw your remaining internet privacy right out the window.
How does it taste? The collective cornhole of corporate America, that is.
Doesn't look like I'll ever be upgrading from XP...
Well it's the MGS4 Snake, so technically he's Old Sack.
I think Steven Colbert was right about the large hadron collider throwing us into an alternate reality. Black U.S. president, Phillies are world champions, and now Europe gets the goriest version of a video game.
I'm curious about that too, and I also think it's probably just the beginning of Act I. Probably up until the part where you find Drebin at the most.
So can we talk about Fight Club yet? That's part of it being public, correct?
Ohhhh...
I think they refer to him as Douche Huge now, or was it Dude Huge...?
That's kinda funny that he doesn't understand it and says there's too much non-gunplay. Kinda wedged himself right into the stereotype of "MOAR GUNS OR GTFO".
HULK... not SMASH?
MGS4 being trophy-less is a damn travesty. One of their biggest exclusives of the year, and they can't get it done. Rockstar did it with GTAIV, Criterion did it with Burnout, what's the deal Konami?
Pretty poor list. Yiazmat and Omega MK XII were harder than the ones he listed for XII, and Ruby Weapon is the hardest in VII.
Probably woulda tripled it a long time ago if they used the regular PSN ID system. There would be nothing in the way of people who bought the game from trying it out, but I guess that's too simple for Konami. Why would they go user-friendly when they can use the most user-hostile sign-up system I've ever seen.
I think GameDaily is the poster child of reasons to source block on N4G. They're the most unprofessional of the "professional" gaming websites out there. Worse than most of the random blogs that get approved here.
They're sneaky little bastards. They take on the look of one of your teammates, including the user name in green text above their heads. It flickers back to their red colored real user name sometimes though, so you can spot them if you're really on your game.
That delay really did a great job of killing the hype. Just using Amazon as an example, it was in the top 5 for several days about a week before launch, then they announced the delay. Within 24 hours it dropped out of the top 10 and never reached it again.
That combined with Sony's complete and utter inability to understand how important advertising is (especially in America, where you're currently getting your ass handed to you by the king of over-advertising) killed LBP's sal...
