This guy is turning out to be a lot more dense than I thought. Either that or he's moving over to EA, and just wants to spend his time as a shill before the announcement is made.

Forgetting about everything Valve does that benefits gamers, everything EA does to hurt gamers, and speaking strictly to microtransactions, the difference is pretty simple. Valve has micros in free games. EA has micros in $60 games.

Doesn't bother me at all that this game looks like an Uncharted clone. I never got into Tomb Raider because it was clunky as hell. Uncharted is an excellent mechanical base to copy.

The "sexual backlash" is idiotic. Go find something else to be offended by, sensitive people.

"...regardless of what rights they trample on"

Your "right" to play CDs? Go find a 90's Walkman. I think all public trash cans are required to contain at least one at all times. Or do what everyone else did a decade ago and rip your CD collection to your computer.

I get the people who are angry over backwards compatibility. I get the people who are angry that more people aren't angry over backwards compatibility.

You can see his de-evolution as an Epic employee through the Gears franchise. Add-on content was always free from Epic up until that point. When Gears released, they battled with Microsoft to allow them to release free maps. When Gears 3 released, it had a season pass and disc-locked content. I'm sure it's only going to get worse with whatever he chooses to do next.

Yeah, game sucks, but that's irrelevant. The topic is local co-op.

PS4 conference: "You'll be able to play 4-way couch co-op in Diablo 3"

Sony has its tentacles in all things tech. Nintendo only does gaming.

I can't remember the last time I've held a CD in my hand. Has been years.

Wouldn't make it the best at all, unless the games were also at a discount. I think consumers, as hopelessly sheepish as they are, would still recognize the fact that they're getting significantly less freedom on one platform for the same price.

Seems like they got the ball rolling on this a couple years ago when EA was essentially replaced by Ubisoft as Sony's "greatest partner" during E3 conferences. EA's always shilling for Kinect in all of their games, too. Probably just more of the same.

I think it's because it's PC, so internet culture is more prevalent on Steam. That explains the Bronies and the offenders, anyway. Human ego explains the "pro gamers", and you find that crap everywhere.

Oh look, it's not-Snake and not-Cloud being added to the game.

Compression. How does it work?

Because it would have to retail at $3000 to play 4K games?

In the US, caps are rolling out to more ISPs. Google is building an internet infrastructure with incredible speeds and no caps, but it's still in its infancy and only covers 2 cities in the entire country at the moment. It's gonna be years before that spreads.

I'll believe it when I see it. Still doesn't help the people who are stuck on bandwidth caps, either. ISPs need to do a complete 180 before cloud gaming becomes a realistic mass-market thing.

TV PARTY, TONIGHT!

Microsoft, easily. They gained the most from this gen. The Xbox 360 was the first console for a whole generation of obnoxious tweens. Sony was cut off at the knees for the first time ever, falling way below the success of the PS1 and PS2. Nintendo? They scored a pile of money off of trend-chasing casuals, who have since moved onto tablets. Their success was a fluke, and it will cost them dearly in the long run if they continue to cater to an audience that has left as suddenly as they arrived....
