In the original, the Midgar opening was essentially the game’s prologue. It was just the first location in a large world with many locales. If it took Square this long just to make the Midgar section, I can’t imagine how long it will take them to remake the whole rest of the game. In fact, I’m going to call it right now and say that this remake will never be completed.
There is something creepy about entering a room and hearing a zombie or other creature in that same space but not seeing where it is because of a fixed camera angle.
I wouldn’t mind a full blown remake of the first Uncharted on PS5.
I hope it has a turn-based combat system.
Only the main controllable characters appear as pixel art in retro mode. Lame.
I can’t believe how good this game looks visually. I hope it plays just as well.
The RE1 remake is a masterpiece. That game and the RE2 remake are the high points of the entire series. RE4 was amazing when it released and still holds up very well, but it felt like more of an action-horror game as opposed to a pure survival horror game.
Code Veronica would be the next logical remake since it’s the true sequel to RE2. However I would much prefer a remake of the original game using the RE engine. Nothing beats a spooky mansion as a horror setting.
The galaxy games are sublime. I’d love to play them in HD with no mandatory motion controls.
But the dev works for a third party studio. Their games release on multiple platforms including PlayStation, PC and Switch. He doesn’t work for Microsoft, so why tout that XSX specifically will offer those benefits? It implies that PS5 won’t offer those benefits as well.
The same could be said about PS5’s 16 gigs of GDDR6 ram. So why not say both consoles will offer those benefits instead of just singling out XSX?
Sega should remaster Panzer Dragoon Saga. I remember that game getting great reviews but hardly anyone could play it because hardly anyone owned a Saturn (outside of Japan at least).
Maybe he’s a time traveler.
Waste of time and money. Stadia is dead.
That would be awesome if Sony announced that Bluepoint is remaking Demon’s Souls. I’d even settle for a remaster with higher resolution and 60 fps.
Not new to the series at all. Been playing them since day one of the first game’s release. Not all of them are short. RE4 for example is a very long game.
I would only accept it if it stayed true to the original and kept the menu/turn-based combat of the original. I’m tired of the new FF games being made as action games, and not even very good ones.
Edit: Also, it would need to be one game and not split into several parts.
I found it interesting.
That trophy for beating the game in less than 2 hours has me worried the game will be too short.
I don’t think the main Switch model will ever get a more powerful “pro” version. I do however think that the Switch Lite will eventually get a “pro” model that includes a 1080p screen and will be able to run Switch games at the same level as a docked regular Switch.
