Kratos has always been interesting....if you want to say the new dynamic makes him more compelling, I would agree with that....but to say a man turned God who slaughtered his own family through treachery, is covered with their ashes for eternity, and battles the most powerful entities in Greek mythology and kicks the arse of all he battles not "interesting" is preposterous beyond all belief.

The most disappointing releases of 2017 are all the games Microsoft isn't producing....I mean....Halo Wars II is all they have to show for the first six months of the year? Yikes. Bring out the coffins for Xbox.

Having Microsoft fully support vr would help, no question, but I think the main things holding vr back are the price and the difficulty in demonstrating the tech...there is just no way to simulate on the screens that most people are viewing the demos on.
The thing I don't understand is it's not as if Microsoft has to develop their own vr tech...they could piggyback off Rift or Vive, but I'm assuming the X is powerful enough to handle those units....maybe it'...

I have no idea what sales figures Sony was hoping for, but considering their plan was to price it reasonably, I would say selling more psvr units than oculus and vive combined (approximation) is pretty good. They had to know going in VR was/still is a niche market, and their sales expectations for psvr were probably fairly modest.
The fact is for VR to become more mainstream, the games have to be great, and it's just not there yet.
The last several years have taught me that if a Microsoft executive is speaking about anything xbox, that speak is at best, a gross exaggeration, and at worst, an outright lie. They need to do better.
I've always owned multiple consoles...I don't have a problem with it. Some people think having games run on all platforms would be a great thing, but I would see it stifling innovation and competition, as well as it having the effect of possibly seeing companies decide the r&d that goes into designing a new console is no longer profitable enough because there is nothing really to differentiate the hardware if the software isn't unique to that particular hardware.
I like everything I hear about this game....should be a big success for Insomniac and Sony.
Everybody wants more incredible, nobody wants to pay the asking price for more incredible. Can't have everything. PSVR is a good value for what you get....if they made it more technically capable, the price skyrockets and it doesn't sell.
