That man Todd Howard has said plenty in the past that hasn't come to fruition. Words are meaningless....show the game in action.

When I initially saw the xbox show, I was a bit disappointed....however, I went back and watched it a second time and there are a lot of very promising games in there. I really liked what I saw from Stalker 2 and Forza, but a game I totally missed the first time was Replaced...that game looks pretty fantastic. There were many other good ones in there too. I think when I watched the show first time I was really anticipating games like Starfield (actual gameplay), Hellblade, maybe even Everw...
I don't know what Skyrim in space means, although I am familiar with what Skyrim is. I'm not a fantasy fan, so I never played Skyrim, or Witcher, or Elder Scrolls, any of those type of games. I am heavy into space sci fi though so I'm hoping this is great, but I'm not holding my breath.

You miss the point. Why give a release date when no one has even seen gameplay? What sense does that make? So you're comfortable giving a firm date but not comfortable yet to show something? Yikes.

Microsoft did a good job at the conference and it was a pretty good show overall....I personally would have liked to see more actual gameplay trailers and not in engine or cinematics, but Stalker 2 and Horizon looked great, and given that Forza is coming this November and Halo in Dec??? that's a good way for Microsoft to finish off the year. Gamepass as always looks to be the real winning formula....there is just so much there already and so much coming it's hard to deny the value. ...
Man I expected this conference to present a much deeper look at Starfield. They give a late 2022 release date (really?) and zero gameplay? No word on what exactly players will be doing in the game? They focus on a nebulous, far away release date? I don't get it. I really don't.
I thought Stalker was the most impressive game at the show, followed by Forza Horizon. I wish more of the games had shown gameplay. Welp, they tried their best. Too many cgi trailers for me...I was hoping to see some Hellblade, some legitimate Starfield gameplay, maybe even Everwild. They showed many games and the presentation was great, they just didn't have a whole lot that I'm personally interested in. Funny how the goal posts keep moving with this crowd....for awhile, they couldn't play games if they weren't 60 hz. Now they've moved the sticks and can't enjoy games unless they're 120 hz. Surprised this one didn't say 144 hz. Next the games will all be junk unless they are 240. After that they won't be satisfied unless it's 10,000 hz. Never you mind that the actual game they are playing is complete trash, and their eyeballs can't keep up with the mot...

Xbox says a lot of things. They have a fairly long history of not following through on many of the things they say they will bring to market. Time will tell. I like the direction of xbox, so I'm not knocking them....I would like to see Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft all succeed. Better games from them all, means better for us overall.
I'm playing it on series x right now and considering quitting it and starting something else. I'm only about 20 minutes in, but my word it's horrific so far. I don't know if it gets any better....I'm thinking about giving it another half hour, but the pace is ponderous, and graphically it seriously looks sub par considering it's a "next gen" title.
