To me it's psychological....for a game like Far Cry 6, all the promotional vids and gameplay vids I've personally seen have introduced me to the female character, so in a way I already feel like I have an insight/connection to that character and would more naturally select her over the male character I have yet to see or hear from.
I felt much the same for a game like the original Mass Effect trilogy, where so much of the promotion featured a male Commander Shepard....
These seem like the wrong questions to be asking when there is a global shortage. How about we first ramp up console production to get more consoles in the hands of gamers who want them, produce more ps5 exclusive games, work on advancing game engines to take full advantage of the new machines....those type things. I don't see any games right now that need a ps5 pro. Probably won't for several years...we haven't even seen what the limits of the ps5 will be yet.
Same here. I already store all my ps4 games on a seagate external connected to my ps5....there is little benefit in moving them over to internal storage for me personally. I'm not sure if I'll get the 1tb ssd or the 2tb, but I'm buying one of them for sure.
Glad I can count myself as 1 among the many early ps5 owners. Got extremely lucky and got one in store pickup at Best Buy on launch day. Got fortunate with a series x too. I never expected the shortages to last this long....I almost hesitated on picking up the series x, glad I didn't.
I am a single player gamer...I barely ever touch a multiplayer component. The only exceptions over the years have been the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, TLOU factions, and the Uncharted 2 multiplayer. The Uncharted 2 multiplayer saw me spend more time playing it than all my other multiplayer experiences over the years combined. That game really was a masterpiece all around.

When I first watched the xbox e3 event, somehow this game didn't make an impression on me. When I watched the presentation a second time this game blew me away. It looks fantastic. I'm really looking forward to playing it.
I bought this game day one on disc for my ps4....it's one of the many, many, many games in my backlog I haven't gotten a chance to play yet, but I do look forward to playing it. I downloaded the game when it became available on ps5 in the psplus collection, so I'll probably end up playing that version.
I have never played a Ubisoft game. I could care less about what Ubisoft does.
EA can fix by stop making. Let somebody else (anybody else) take over.
It's relevant because for good ol' Paulie, it went bad quickly and ended horribly. Just because you're the current king, doesn't mean you can sit on your azz all the live long and expect the results to remain the same. Ultimately, Paulie moved so damn slowly he didn't notice the rats nibbling away at his feet, leading to his downfall.

You must be joking....some of Sony's greatest E3's have been announcing games that are "2 to 3 years" away, and they were celebrated for it, and those games turned out to be great. Now all of a sudden you get no news and now you're fine with news 6 months from release? Sure you're right. Horizon Forbidden West was revealed far more than 6 months ago, as was GT7, as was God of War, as was....what's the point? I can't think of one single game that Sony only...
Maybe it's been awhile for you, but perhaps you forgot Paulie ended up in prison and died from lung cancer........maybe not your best analogy.

What, exactly, is your difficulty in understanding? I thought I made it pretty clear that Sony has done the better job of delivering games so far (though Microsoft isn't exactly making it much of a competition) and Microsoft has done a better job laying out their roadmap for the future. And I'm not complaining...I'm fortunate to have a ps5 and series x when many others don't. I just would like to get a better sense of the road map for game releases going forward into 2022 and 2023. We really don't know much of anything that Sony has in the works. Microsoft has done a better job revealing what their plans are to this point, while it is obvious Sony has done the better job of actually delivering games to this point in the year.
Where are the games? Returnal, Ratchet and Clank.....is Horizon Forbidden West still on track for this year? I am not a fan of this continued radio silence from Sony...not at all. Hopefully Kena and Deathloop are still on track, but overall that lineup isn't exactly blowing my doors off in 2021.
I didn't expect to be saying this but after the Horizon reveal at the xbox event, Forza Horizon 5 is probably tied with Horizon Forbidden West as my most anticipated games due out this year....hopefully Forbidden West makes it out this year.
