Maybe, but all indications and rumors are that Sony is much more prepared to launch than Microsoft. Even if Microsoft said they are launching early November (before or during Call of Duty launch) I fully believe Sony would announce launching on the same day or even earlier.

I'm one of the people that believes Sony is launching in late October.

Personally I think Morrowind is the best game in the franchise, all things considered. I think it was the most revolutionary and the most interesting.

As somebody who has forgone PC gaming I can only pray that either the Elder Scrolls collection will find it's way onto the PS4 and/or that this will somehow get picked up by Bethesda and ported to the PS4.

A boy can dream, can't he?

I really wish we could ban the word fanboy, because 90% of the time it's just somebody with a preference...

Guess I'm just a fanboy of logic.

I haven't played the game but this seems really low to me.

I definitely interested in this game. I could care less about how limited graphics might be for an iOS/Android game. What I'm most worried about is how the limited inputs would limit the gameplay. Regardless, I really hope this turns out awesome.

I'm still hoping to see Pier Solar get a PS3/PS4 and/or PS Vita port. I could live with Project Phoenix as a replacement.

Gorgeous. For some reason I want to go to a shooting range right now.

Interest blog. Personally, I don't get the whole, "This company copied this idea from this company." It's capitalism. Whenever there is a popular idea, competing companies can either try to re-purpose that idea for themselves or invent something better to replace it. Nintendo put an analog stick on the N64, Sony put two on the DualShock. Sony didn't copy Nintendo, they improved upon the original idea.

And honestly, let's say Nintendo invented some gr...

I was specifically referring to the co-op, where there isn't much platforming and traversal mixed in with the gunfights. Nor are there interesting cut-scenes or puzzles. So yeah, the co-op experience for UC3 is generic. The rest of the game is awesome.

Borderlands 2 isn't generic either. Medal of Honor is genneric. Call of Duty is generic.

Borderlands 2 is a great co-op game, just not locally. For a game that sends you into the menu as often as it does, its simply annoying to trying to navigate said menus when you cannot see the whole thing.

Also, Uncharted 3? You only get about 1/4 of the screen when you play it locally, and it's just some generic gun fights really. I love UC3 don't get me wrong, but I don't think the co-op is anything special locally.

Just my two scents. I'm p...

Trackpad on the PS4 or one of the analog sticks.

Very fine list. I really wish Legend of Grimrock would come to PS4 as I'm not into PC gaming and it's always intrigued me.

I'd probably choose either Limbo or Braid as number one personally. But of all the games on here that I've played, all are very good.

What kind of reductive logic are you using? Microsoft had a vision for the Xbox One; what they wanted it to be and the policies to help shape that vision. By changing these policies, they are actively acknowledging that they had a poor vision and not the conviction to stick with it. Without vision, products end up being safe and not progressive. This is a problem.

Here's an example. Sony, after being burned by Nintendo on its CD expansion, decided to develop a console tha...

I just don't see "winning" as a binary thing. Sure, the Wii sold the most units and copies of games while making by a good margin the most money. From any financial standpoint the Wii did "win." However, it was a short term success that quickly died down and now Nintendo's next console is struggling mightily and a part of the reason is because Nintendo further cemented their reputation as a maker of weak consoles without third party support, and only a few new IP&#...

Screwed is hyperbolic, but I THINK the essence of what he is saying is that the Xbox One doesn't have many key selling points that the PS4 doesn't already have. Although the PS4 does do streaming through Ustream, the clearly more popular service is Twitch and that is one of the few things Microsoft can trumpet. If Twitch comes to PS4 that's one less selling point that the Xbox One has that the PS4 doesn't, thus reducing interest.

At least, I think that's w...

I get the sense that either Sony is backing Ustream to try and make it the number one streaming service (which I don't see happening) or Ustream paid Sony to exclusively use them. Just guessing here.

It sounds like Twitch could come to PS4, but that it won't because Sony is going with Ustream. I hope the PS4 does allow Twitch to work because that would be awesome.

Yeah, I just realized they had a hand in Breaking Bad. I knew they did television, as well as movies and music. I just didn't realize they worked on one of, if not the best show on TV.

It's easy to say Sony is copying Microsoft or they aren't focusing on games just like Microsoft, but that's wrong. The easiest way to explain this is to simply look at this generation. Basically once Kinect hit the Xbox 360 started trickling out exclusives and according to a lot of people basically giving up on trying to continue supporting the console the way they did early on. And even then Microsoft never had a large stable of developers pumping out exclusives the way Sony did....

It's just weird whenever there is a big developer, especially one making an exclusive game for Microsoft, to not have their game launch in their home country. Poland, home of The Witcher developers CD Projekt Red, wasn't initially a launch country and it was awkward because Microsoft showed their game off at E3.

But now Switzerland, home of DICE and Battlefield 4, won't be available in their home country at launch. It is a game more associated with Sony, but it...
