I'm going to try and be as respectful as I possibly can when I say that your statement, "I don't think it's by as much as people tout, (closer than the 360 and PS3 were)..." is completely absurd.
I really dislike the word fanboy, so I'll not label you one. However, the Xbox 360 and PS3 were actually pretty comparable. The PS3 certainly had a slight advantage in raw power (especially due to Cell) but it was also much more complex to program for - plus...
Naughty Dog, you sly devils.
Cerny doesn't strike me as a man who cusses.
Forza 5 is an Xbox One game, whereas Gran Turismo 6 is a PS3 game. I would hope the next gen racer has better physics than the current gen racer...
Well my whole point was predicated on somebody buying only one console, at least for a while. I even stated as such. I just think that launch lineups have an overblown importance. I mean let's say the PS3 sold around 7 million in its first year, the other 70 million came afterwards and the launch lineups had little to no bearing on those decisions.
Anyways, I think a lot of people are going to stick with what they know and what their friends are doing. There's nothing...
If you're somebody who is going to get both consoles, and you want to get the Xbox One first because of the launch lineup then I understand. But, in my opinion, it's really shortsighted to buy a console because of its launch lineup when you're buying into its ecosystem for 5 years or more.
Sure, day 1 you might think the Xbox One has the advantage; but can you honestly say that with everything we know Microsoft will have the advantage the next 5 years in games? Un...
Both launch lineups are actually really good. I know a lot of people like to call them crap, but if you actually look at past launch lineups it's normally sparse and mediocre. There doesn't seem to be a Mario64, meaning there doesn't look like there is a masterpiece game that shows what next gen is truly capable of, but there are a number of really good looking games.
For me I'm more compelled with the PS4 lineup. Sure, the Xbox One has some more AAA exclusive...
This game has me really intrigued. Can't wait to hear more about it.
You have a right to complain that the PS4 doesn't have enough blockbuster exclusive games at launch, I personally won't downvote you. It is true.
Although, to me I'm buying into the PlayStation ecosystem (sorry for PR buzzword) and what I mean is that for the next 5 years I know I'll be getting plenty of blockbuster exclusives - just look at the past three generations. Plus I'll get a very diverse mix of games, including now a ton of indie games. I'll ...
Shadow of the Beast really caught my attention. All the indie games was awesome.
Looks pretty interesting. Still not sure what to make of the combat. It seems like they made the QTE prompts more subtle by changing them to thing colored layers surrounding an enemy. QTE's aren't necessarily even bad if it's done right.
The thing about God of War QTE's is that there was a fairly deep combat system with multiple different weapons and a god power. Plus, there is a real choice in GoW's QTE's - if you do it you instantly kill the enemy an...
You know what would be funny? If Sony did another video with Shuhei going into a store to buy the PS4 and FIFA 14 with $500, and getting $40 in change back. And then he says he's confused because he thought it cost $500 to get all of that.
OK, I'm tired and that somehow seems funny in my head :)
@Couldntfindasn I don't want a PS Camera, just like I wouldn't have wanted a Kinect. If I'm not mistaken, the camera retails for $60 so I guess Mi...
For what it's worth the PS4 is getting the exact same console/premium bundle for COD Ghosts. I don't know if there will be a strictly game/console bundle exclusive to the Xbox One; but if it is just the announcement of the premium bundle then...sad.
This is a good idea by Microsoft. I do wonder how much this will offset the impact of not launching in half of Europe. Very interesting indeed.
You had my curiosity Microsoft. Now you have my attention.
If it is FIFA, then that is cool for everybody getting the Xbox One. However, I will say that not only does it appear that half of Europe won't be getting Xbox One's at launch, but that one could still buy a PS4 and a copy of FIFA for cheaper.
I do hope both consoles include a free game. I miss the days when every system came with at least one game.
"Did I state anywhere Sony wouldn't have hands on? Seriously, just stop and think for a second...did I state that?" - theWB27
"What are all of you people on about? Would you rather have a conference, or full hands on?? Nothing tells me more about the game than playing it...and that you'll be able to do." - theWB27
No, you didn't say Sony wouldn't have a conference; but you clearly said it in a way that implied it wouldn'...
Because after the Sony press conference they aren't going to have any games to play right? Seriously, just stop and think for a second...
True, but then Sony is going to have a conference (where it will undoubtedly announce at least one major title) AND have a bunch of games on the floor to play. Microsoft not having a press conference may be smart, but that doesn't mean it's good.
I'm super excited to get my hands on some of the smaller titles. Games like Rime and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture have something you don't get in bigger retail releases.
But still, Metal Gear Solid WHATEVER the games are. Give them to me Kojima-san.
